I rejected my order on Sunday 13th June on the doorstep after getting a call from the store prior to delivery, Im still waiting for the refund of the amount I was due to pay aftr the £75 code. This evening, checking my bank, the £75 has been debited from my account. Phoned the bank, not much help apart from telling me to ring Asda and if I think its fraudulent to give them a call back tomorrow.
I rang Asda, she was very apologetic, said it was done by my local store would get her manager to ring me back this evening !!
One fuming customer here !!!

OMG they go from bad to worse, not only did they not uphold their offer but now they are charging for orders that were never delivered.....surely that IS fraudulent. I would get back on to your bank.

Honestly!! They need to talk to the delivery store re the transaction and cannot do that until the morning !
ASDA YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS GONE DOWNHILL IN LAST FEW MONTHS SINCE I STARTED SHOPPING ONLINE !!

The Same as happened with me. Delivery was due on the 13th. Received a phone call from asda 10 minutes before it was due saying I could accept the order and pay full or cancel.

I cancelled the order on the phone and then noticed that the money that was owed to asda after the voucher had been put on hold with the back. I phoned asda back and was told my money would be returned in around 7 days, which it was.

I was also offered free delivery and £5 off my next shop which was placed in my asda account right away and as since been used on my latest shop.

Ive log into my bank this morning to make sure wages, bills etc have gone in and out like i do every thursday and there is a £75 asda withdrawal yesterday, not put on hold but actually taken!

So everyone keep a close eye on your bank accounts, even those who did not receive any shopping.

just checked..-£75.00.
called asda customer service and they said someone will call back.
the problem is i have a d/d for gas+electric coming out tomorrow+ive only got £40.00 left in bank(its a 28mile round trip to my branch+ive no car).
called bank+they said even if asda release this £75.00 today it will take 10 days to go back into my account.

Did your shopping get delivered? I'm still waiting for asda to call me back. I phoned earlier and they insisted the money was just on hold but its clearly been taken from my bank and I insisted they put it back in. their going to contact their accounts department or something then get back to me.

my shopping was cancelled half hour before delivery.(13/06/10)
was told i would get a £20.00 shopping voucher plus free delivery on my next order,still not recived that either+waiting for a call back from accounts department about £75.00 taken from bank today.

Ive had my call back. they now admit that £75 has been taken from my bank and not just put on hold. They said it will take up to 10 days before it is returned. Ive told them im not happy about that and they have offered me £10 off my next shop and free delivery, that said thats the most they can offer!.

I think its a disgrace. no shopping and £76 put on hold with a 10 day wait and now another £75 taken from my account with another 10 days wait. going to pick kids up from school then im going to have a look online at what i can do. Im sure they cant just go helping themselves to peoples money, specially those who didnt get their shopping delivered in the first place.

I would get in touch with your bank and tell them that asda have admitted they took the money wrongly, the bank have powers to claw back the money much faster than 10 days

ive been onto barclays bank today,
i explained the story about the voucher and they says even if asda agree to put the money back today it will take upto 10 days to reach my account+they cannot get the money back any quicker.
as i said in my other post ive got d/d for £75 gas+elec coming out tomorrow,ive got £40 in my account.
im just about to get a lift from my neighbour to take me to my bank to put £35 in it +im paying him £10 for petrol.
