I've been looking everywhere, I'm trying to find a free delivery code or discount code on big electricals at ASDA, just wondered has any one seen any?
Would be very grateful:)0 -

Today I received my shopping order. When checked out last night Uncle Ben's Cooking Sauces were "3 for £3" and John West Tuna was BANNER ADVERTISED on the page as "2 for £3". When these items arrived hours later the price went from an anticipated £6 to £11.92.
My husband phoned South Africa for alleged Customer Service. Their reaction was it is acceptable as "it's in the small print" and when he requested to speak to a supervisor there was "not one available" and was put on THE never-ending hold...the sort from which you feel no one ever returns.
Eventually, he phoned the UK Head Office in Leeds, who put him through to someone else in South Africa Customer Services who tried to spin the same line, but after persistence conceded a refund of the difference.
While it may be in the contractual small print, this still constitutes sharp practice and is not fair to the consumer. My husband, a lawyer, has contacted BBC Watchdog and Trading Standards. It must be said that TESCO at least warn you on checkout if an item in your basket is not subject to an advertised offer. TESCO detail their time limited offers. It is a shame that ASDA chooses to induce, exploit and mislead the consumer as to the actual price they will be charged merely hours after checking out. To me £5.92 hardly constitutes minor bill fluctuation...
As a cost-conscious shopper, I would NOT have bought the items had they not been subject of a (non-existent) offer. I'm clearly way too cheap! TD.0
