mmmmm I'm sad, no more reading this thread for a whole year now, are you all absolutely sure that you wouldn't like a cupid/lovebug or easter bunny to visit
Seriously thanks to all for taking the time to write it all up and show pics. I've really enjoyed it.0 -
Thank you for starting all of this Soblivion. :T
It has been absolutely fantastic, and the elf tradition will go on for many years to come in our household, as I'm sure it will for all the others who have joined in on here. We have quite a few friends with young children who are all looking for elves to join them next year, so I think you can take the credit for really making Christmas extra special for a lot of children all over the UK, and overseas it would seem!
Thank you again, and have yourself a wonderful Christmas.0 -
my best friend saw mine yesterday and his website etc, she is going to make an elf to go and live at hers next yr and the lady next door is thinking about it.
i think a thread maybe in order for people to post ideas about what the elfs could do next yr might be in order.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

Yes, a huge thank you to Soblivion for this thread. My dgd and her family have really enjoyed having Elvin stay with them in Sydney!

Just got the kids off to bed after the whole routine we go through, peppermint left thier pj's this year on their pillow's wrapped with a new book, cd, some sweeties etc, we usually leave these in the fire place whille they are in the bath but they went in the bath first thing this morning with them both being so unwell.
We all watched toy story Peppermint never left Emily's knee, she's had him all day - so much for the no touch rule!
then we got our plate ready for the big man, went outside and sprinkled our reindeer food put the santa key on the door and then came in to say goodbye.
It was SOOOO sad, I feel quite guilty for causing such trauma to my child - even I cried!, so thats it we'll definatley be having a elf for xmas next year and Peppermint might visit for Easter and birthdays just for the day though. We've all enjoyed it lots and lots and I would just like to say a huge thankyou to Soblivion for staring it all off you've made this xmas extra special xxxx:beer:0 -
Another ty from me. Snowball has already gone in his sleeping bag stocking with all his belongings and the items he has accumulated during the visit; a coat, scarf, set of elf made binoculars (for looking for Santa), a flashing light pendant (used to guide in the sleigh), notes from the kids. I miss him already but next year he will be back with his elf wife
Thanks for drawing this to our attention soblivion..... I hope my kids aren't too lost without him in the morning! Merry Christmas to you all....I have enjoyed being entertained and inspired by all your posts - I'll meet you all here same time , same place next year0 -
