Joe did you pass the basic skills tests? - you've written "we are you sent a CRB form"...... and successful is to 3 "s""You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
Hi,
I applied for two positions at the DWP (Admin Officer and Admin Assistant), and attended the interview. I received a reply today stating that I have been unsuccessful for the Administrative Officer job, does it mean that I will receive a separate letter for the Admin Assistant vacancy?
Or is that it and I have been unsuccessful in both jobs?
Any help, much appreciated! Thanks.0 -

I did indeed. It seems I don't bother to check what I'm writing on this forum- probably because I'm aware that I really shouldn't be visiting this site during working hours!Bored0 -
Dr E, exactly the same has just happened to me, made a bit worse by the fact that they sent me a letter Saturday saying I'd been successful. Yesterday I got one apologising for that letter, saying there were no current vacancies and that I was on a 6 month waiting list, without guarantee of a job. I rang Newcastle this morning and was told there was 'over a 50%' chance of getting a post from that exercise. I'm not about to have a big party about that.
Some good info on this thread. Someone posted that there were 45 points available for the interview and they recruited from top marks down til all available posts were filled, which suggests that tho I passed the interview, I dropped points somewhere (anyone know what the pass mark is?). Someone else suggested they couldn't employ new recruits very fast as accommodation and training budget issues prevented it.
Whatever, I'm a bit disappointed, especially after getting the letter on Saturday basically saying I was successful.:idea:0 -

18 days after my interview and today I got a letter saying I had passed the numeracy/literacy tests. Haven't heard another word, so, no idea whether I'll be offered a job or not. Filled out all the forms at the interview but haven't had anything back from Disclosure and I know they haven't contacted my referees.
Sorry to hear what happened to you, lili2008. It's bad enough waiting for a letter to arrive without having your hopes raised and then dashed .....0 -
I've got a jobseekers review interview tomorrow so I'm going to take my letter in and see if they can shed some light on the situation.
I've read so many conflicting reports on here and on other forums that it just gets more frustrating/confusing the longer the whole process goes on.
I will report back.0 -

Thanks! That would be great. Every area seems to work differently and it's hard to work out where we stand.0 -

You will hear separately about the AA post:idea:0 -
Went to my Jobseekers review this morning and they could not help whatsoever or shed any light on the situation with these letters.
I've been excepted for an EO position but advised I'm on the waiting list ,but still had to fill out the disclosure Scotland and pre-empt previous employers???.
I asked this morning if I get accepted for the AO role and start that job and then later they come back to me saying we're ready to recruit you for the EO position will I be able to move across? They didn't know.
It's rather like banging your head against a brick wall!0 -
My spelling is awful, so stressed I can't even write 'accepted'0
