Anyone tried the non bio powder from Lidl, called Formulil or something like in a light blue box, huge box 57 washes I think? Is it any good, any info appreciated. Lidl's luxury fruit & nut muesli is currently reduced from a very affordable £1.49 to an incredibly tempting 99p, and it's absolutely lovely - not like wood-shavings at all! Their fruit & nut choc is also great - 34% cocoa solids, and huge lumps of fruit and nut, 79p for 200g.
The store on Halifax Road in Sheffield already had the Xmas stuff in stock and on sale today (9th Oct), despite publicity saying it was from Oct 15th. :T0 -
Lidl - Kegs of beer - see posts 939 & 940
Has anyone tried these ??
do you need any special fittings/adaptors/gas cylinders to get the beer from those little kegs ? Do you have to drink it all in one session or will it keep for a bit ?0 -

Our Lidl Store has already got all the Christmas goodies instock, stollen, ginger biscuits etc, decorations (chocolate), choc santas, liqueur chocs. There is a great selection, I've never bought Christmas stuff from them before so tips on what's good and what's not would be great. I saw cream liqueur chocs (Whisky creme or something like), little barrel sized chocs and wondered if they are ok. Any info on Christmas goodies appreciated, thank you.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

The Lidl Stollen is fine, and so is Aldi's.
Another recommendation is Lebkuchen (gingerbread) Hearts, especially the ones with a filling.
I'd stay away from all these mixed Christmas bags for children. They normally contain a chocolate Santa Claus/Father Christmas and some smaller chocolate thingies. The chocolate used for these is the cheapest there is, and it's not always fresh, either. Mostly horrible.0 -

I wouldn't go for the Stollen bites. You get far more cake for the money if you buy a whole one.0
