UHT milk (1L box) is not advisable from Lidl - the lids to the spout at the top don't close properly, not good if you can't finish a whole litre of milk in one ago!
Aldi's one (red+white box) is brilliant - lid seals back brilliantly!
I agree - there new plastic ones fit really snugly. Its cheaper too at 45p for a litre of semi-skimmed. Netto has it for 48p as does Lidl.Veteran Bargain Hunter -

Excellent value are Lidl's Adritt anti-limescale tablets for laundry, SO much cheaper than Calgon and just as good. 51 tablets in a box, think it's £3.95 but can't remember off the top of my head.
When the repair man came out to my washing machine (bearing problem) he mentioned that he could see no scale on the drum or element. Also means saving money because I can use only 1/4 of a scoop of washing powder in each wash and the clothes come out lovely and clean without any soap residue."Never argue with an idiot. In Lidl the parmesan and sandwich salami are very good - plus I like the crunchy cereal clusters - 99p for a large bacg with nuts and raisins). Tins of tomatoes are great and the low fat rice pudding is delish, couldn't see any difference compared to branded. I use alot of squeezy honey for herbal tea (when i have had too much coffee...) so will get it from there, plus their fruit bread is nice for breakfast and cheaper than supermarkets.MFW #185
