Sexymouse- Sorry to hear you had such a reaction to Lidl facewipes.

I have used them for a long time with no ill effects & think they are great value for money so worth a try if you don't have sensitive skin.

i had some gourmet mushroom tortelli (aldi) last night approx 80p i think. very nice. Also the dinner rolls you warm in the oven...nice.
Since the extension at our aldi the choice of food and wine is much better. also it looks a bit posher. still no baskets, which is a bit awkward when im there with the pushchair. GRRRRRRR!!!

Lager - [...] if you just want something cheap then the Brasserie beer is standard St Omer stuff - I think it's 10 x 250ml bottles for £1.89 or something (correct me if I'm wrong!)

    It's £3.49 for 10 x 250ml.
  • The "Torento" Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Netto is definitely substandard, it is described as being Intensely Fruity, with a warm peppery flavour. Nothing could be further from the truth, it is flat, with a bitter aftertaste that actually leaves a slight burning sensation in the throat - reminiscent of the oils which are extracted using chemical means ( it states on the label that it is extracted by only mechanical means, as any Olive oil for consumption should)

My tip would be to buy your Olive Oil from Tesco, it is the same price if you buy a litre bottle and much higher grade (i.e. actually drinkable!!!)

GF recommends the sensitive skin rubber gloves from Lidl "no horrible flock stuff inside" and a pack of 2 pairs for 66p a real bargain because they are about £2 in most other places. So no excuses not to wash up.
