apologies if this has been posted already (did a thread search but couldn't find it)
Lidl have recently started stocking large, I kg I think, pots of YOGOSAN yogurt, chocolate, strawberry ... but best of all vanilla, no artificial stuff in it & it tastes absolutely wonderful0 -
netto----
buy:
chocolate digestives (chesterton's- very nice and only slightly dearer than smart price but a much better biscuit)
soft drinks (summer magic), the lemonade is ok, the orange cordial is really nice (about 36p for 2 litres)
yoghurts (the 8p strawberry one is really nice)
cereals (colliers frosted flakes are actually quite nice)
bread (family life and the branded wholemeal at 30--odd p a loaf)
milk (wiseman's dairies- as good as anything in asda or tesco)
i also quite like 'centurian' lager at less than 90p for 4 cans (2.1% though), its not as nice as asda's 3% lager but half the price
beans quite nice, prefered them to heinz, tinned spaghetti not bad either
avoid
chickens, bought a small one reduced to 50p and didn't like it, won't buy again (dog liked it though)things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

Can I reccomend Lidl's "Frikkadellen" german style Pork Burgers (also get chicken and turkey ,and veggie ones) from the chiller. They are really tasty but most importanly, they don't shrink! Theya re very dense and meaty, and make a change as most Uk pork burgers are very cheap and blech.0

These are made in Germany and exactly the same as the ones sold in Germany, where people wouldn't take just anything for a Frikadelle.
Aldi's Frikadellen are just as good (and from the Motherland, of course.)0 -
netto do a large chicken for 2.99 which is really nice normally i buy the oakham chickens from m & s which for the same size are about 6quid not any more no one noticed the difference. Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

going to print the list off and going to try and do some of a weekly shop in netto this week as a family expedition, looked at the website and offer leaflets online with rest of family, some raised eyebrows at prices of branded goods, raised cos we have paid so much previously :eek:things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok

before hollywood i live in the south east and our nettos use local firm to supply meat which is really good even the local nobs from the million pound houses near there shop in netto which is quite amusing as a few years ago people would not be seen dead in those places how times have changed. Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

Personal opinion
UHT milk (1L box) is not advisable from Lidl - the lids to the spout at the top don't close properly, not good if you can't finish a whole litre of milk in one ago!
Aldi's one (red+white box) is brilliant - lid seals back brilliantly!THANKS!:happylove0
