Went into Aldi Portsmouth yesterday and the dual microwave oven/grill are back in stock if anyone living nearby missed out the first time around!0

Anyone know if the Aldi teabags are any good. I love PG Tips but have started doing my weekly shop at Aldi and love most things, but haven't tried their teabags yet.
Bought their salmon in dill sauce out of the chiller cabinets, and my Dad says they are far nicer than the Birds Eye steamfresh ones. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I once had a box where a lot of the bags were not sealed properly so the tea leaves leaked out. That was a one off though - taste wise they're fine.

Sorry if these have already been mentioned, but I am incapable of leaving Lidl without buying their little pots of Tiramisu and a box (or two!) of their Belgian chocolate seashells (which I prefer to the famous name brand version).0

Buy - mini icecream cornetto type cones, lush
Don't buy - cling film. Last lot I bought won't cling to anything!
Agree about the cling film, its absolutely useless. Should just be called film!
Love Lidl premium ham (the big slices, not that cheap at around £2 for 5 slices but at least its not minced up and reformed, yuck!), also the chicken in little round slices. OH loves the probiotic yogurt drinks, and the flavoured quark is lovely too, and fat free.
White bread flour is just as good as Hovis in my breadmaker2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

LIDL have Bockwurst in a plastic foil package, 10 for £2.99 and they are absolutely excellent. Always making me homesick, especially with German potato salad.
Much better than the ones in glass jars.0 -
re Patak's sauces - has anyone else tried the ones in little tins from Netto? Only 35p a pop, and really really excellent! - the tins are obviously made by Tardis Enterprises plc, as the contents go a really long way!!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Chilled Chicken Jalfrezi/Korma/Tikka Masala Curry with Rice at Lidl (NOT THE FROZEN ONE)
Supplied to them by NOON FOODS who also supply Waitrose and sell curries under the Bombay Brasserie brand...I've personally not tasted a better ready meal type curry...The Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!0 -

Hey Skint --- thanks so much for mentioning the Iseree cleansing facial wipes. I was in Lidl yesterday and remembered your post so I decided to give them a try. Wow!! They are fantastic! :T Thanks again!

I have been using Lidl on and off for a year or two, not as a main shop, but normally as a supplement, especially when we ran out of grape juice. (The kids love their cartons of this.) The other week i was desperate for bread and bought their wholemeal sliced (in orange wrapper). Wasn't sure what my son (who is fussy) would make. When I asked him about it, his immediate response was "Its so much nicer than the one you get from Tesco". At a much cheaper price, I now stock up on it and go to Lidl more often. I am a fan of their coleslaw too. Its so much nicer than any other I buy and has a much longer shelf life.
The only thing I find, it that it is easier to drive 15 miles to a really nice out of town one than go to our rather grotty town one. The produce seems nicer. Don't know why.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.
