Let me set the scene...
I eat yoghurt most days, and every morning have yog with bran cereal and dried fruit, and my favourite flavours are blueberry and raspberry.
...So...
I was over the moon when I found 4 x 125ml of yog (2 blueberry/2 raspberry) for 29p.
Now, the phrase “you only get what you pay for” is running through my head. I opened the raspberry one and thought it looked a bit strange. Poured it into a bowl and thought it looked a bit gelatinous and shiny and gloopy. Tasted it and felt sooooooooo disappointed. It was like weird blamange (sp).
I'm going to have to throw them out (I bought 2 lots), but I can use the pots for my sunflower and veggie seeds (also from lidl - think they were less than 30p for lettuce and aubergine seeds, and just under 50p for some hybrid (?) aubergine seeds).
Generally though, I love lidl and aldi, and I've had other yogs from them that I have found much better than those from supermarkets. After years of shopping here this is one of the only bad things I've found.Looking forward to the future.0 -

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....
I, on the other hand, absolutely love the Lidl baked beans. They do not taste merely of salt and sugar, which may have a bearing on why others do not like them?
I buy these in preference to ANY other bean and I love beans - especially human beans.0 -

I also like the Aldi beans, I buy Heinz / Branston when they are 4 tins for £1, otherwise, I buy Aldi.
DH prefers Aldi rice pudding to Ambrosia, said the Ambrosia was watery by comparisonYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Lidl Potato Salad, should have a health warning (may cause addiction!!)
They used to have a cereal called Little Man Golden Balls, cracked me up when I saw it.
Their thick orange juice in a glass bottle, as a hot drink before beadtime, moves mountains the next morning!!0 -
I also buy the Aldi beans to put into Rancheros/Shepherd's pie....can't stand Heinz Beans as they are too sweet and salty.0

Went to Lidl yesterday.
We purchased Harvest Basket Potato Gratin (potato slices in a creamy cheese sauce) - it was absolutely delicious (near the chiller cabinets). 85p!!!! for 500g. Absolutely delicious.
Also we had the fish fingers from Aldi - £1.59 or so for 14. they were super scrummy too.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01
