    Perlenbacher Premium Pils,
pack of 6, 500 ml bottles, ABV 4.9%, brewed in accordance with the German "Reinheitsgebot" (water, barley malt, hop extract. NO additives).
As a beer drinker for 40 years I really rate this beer, buy it in quantity when it's on offer, it works out at 67p per 500 ml bottle!!!!

    Goody Special Luxury Fruit Muesli
    750 g pack
My "snobby" daughter tried it and thought it was from M&S.
Buy it in quantity when it's on offer at 99p per pack.

The weekly "hardware/household goods/electrical goods/tools are of excellent quality.
I have bought the following :- cat climbing frame, stainless steel outside light, spanners, screwdrivers, tiewraps, assorted stationery, DAB radio, 4 slice toaster, kettle, hammers, fruit trees, garden seeds, garden plants, printer cartridges, windscreen wipers, car lamps, car mats, computer wedge cushion, computer workstation, cutlery, frying pans (various), flip-flops, Gino Millelli "designer" loafers, calculator, batteries, illuminated magnifying glass, garden fertiliser (various types), hot air gun, digital tyre pressure gauge plus many more items !!!

    Worth buying are :-
Vitakrone Tomato Ketchup, Opticat pouches/foil trays, Tiramisu, Floralys toilet rolls, Premium vanilla ice cream (real vanilla), Spare ribs, Premium ham, Cream soda/Dandelion & burdock, Danpack Olive Gold spread, any of the Solevita fruit juices, Rowan Hill premium farmhous wholemeal bread, Free range eggs, Ciabatta, Couscous, Any canned fruit, Egg mayonaise, Any of their household cleaning items .

    General tips :-
If buying from the chilled counter always buy the "premium" version of any cheese, ham, sausages etc.
If buying fresh vegetable and fruit always have a good look at the condition of the goods to make sure they are OK.
When an item has a long "use by date" and is on offer at an exceptionally cheap price buy in quantity.

I am lucky with my local Saltash (Cornwall) Lidl in that it has a quick turnover of fresh produce so the fruit & veg / bread / milk etc. are always in good condition.
Also the attitude of the Staff is first rate, they are always helpful.

    Avoid :-
    Their version of Horlicks
    Cheapest toilet rolls

Re the colour of the meat - this is when it has been exposed to air - still off putting though!!

Since I have come on this thread at page 72 .... has anybody mentioned the Lasagne from Lidl it is great and it is on offer at the moment or is just coming up @ £1.99. There own equivalent of Muller Rice is good value to, plus their dried herbs. Their fruit and nut chocolate (pink box) is to die for!!

Lidl car parks - oooh the car parking attendants are like Rottweillers!! They caught me for being 2 minutes over!!
    Regards

    LindyLou :hello:

    ALDI Alert:

Chocolate is on special offer. 200g bars, Chocolate sticks 200g, Moser-Roth, Single Origin and others. Wide variety of flavours, too.

They're normally around 95-99p, now on offer at 69p. Since nobody else offers 200g of real quality choccy for that price, stocking up sounds like an idea.

    Won't be for long, though.

I have just read the thread previous to this with a link to Lidltreats - PLEASE BE AWARE....my security systems (yes plerual !!) flagged up 6 major threats from it so I immediately shut it down before any more were listed. I got lots of antivirus/spywared loaded. I've never got that many listed in literally a few seconds of the page starting to load.

so click with care !! even better not at all (safe not sorry)
