    Hi

went into aldi yesterday and was impressed. did end up spending more than I intended tho!!(only went in to try their nappies...)

Has anybody seen the 12v bagless handheld car vacuum they're selling for £6.99?? Have been after one for ages but don't know of their quality/make/build. It has a 3 yr warranty so I suppose that's good.

The dyson cordless one is £70 elsewhere...no way I'm paying that for a quick hoover of the car!!!

    thanks!
  • I'm waiting on a delivery of Glühwein to my local Lidl. They've advertised it in their Christmas Brochure but they are nowhere to be seen in my store.
  • Lidl - Harvest Basket Potato slices with onion

Fry these up, add seasoned beaten eggs, cook on a low heat until set, finish under the grill if required and you've got an easy Tortilla. They come in a red box in the chilled section. This one is my favourite but there's also one with bacon bits and another with a cheese sauce for cooking in the oven.

My husband adores their frozen paella & we also can buy the same pack in Spain from Lidl's there. I love the frozen Nasi Goreng, I tried it when it was on offer for £1. It's got lots of oriental veg, pork & is a massive portion. I stirfry it all & eat half, saving rest in fridge till next day. It says to add 4 tbls oil which I did 1st time, yuk, so now I add water & much prefer it. Try it, it's got wicked seasoning.:T
  • I was in Aldi and bought some 59p chocolate chip and hazlenut cookies.

    Very nice too.

p.s. It says Temptations on the packet, and I need to lose some weight. :o

    if you know what's what.

Yesterday - 500 gm seedless green grapes 49p (edited - from Brazil)
Every day - 4 x individual low-fat fruit yoghurts 29p (edited - brand Castle Creamery, product of EU, 4 x 125gm, 1ea of black cherry, strawberry, raspberry and peach melba. Smooth and sweeter than I prefer but the kids LOVE them as long as they don't know they come from Netto. Sometimes you need to watch the dates, but the ones I got yesterday have almost a month to go ...ad)

Their low-fat soft cheese with garlic and herbs at 59p is the best I've ever tasted. (edited - medium fat, not low-fat. Brand name Cremette, 200gm pack)

UK eggs (cage eggs unfortunately) 99p for 10.

    Lidl -Knights bombay mix gorgeous.

    Just been munching on this!

It's not as crunchy as other bombay mix I've had. But it's certainly not bad for the price, and is no worse than "average" (probably better). My mouth is burning as expected :)
  • I got some brand of "Italian ham" from Aldi and it was really nice. It was like parma ham.
