You know I posted earlier that I had got the ironed warmed up yesterday before little bear insisted he needed mum. Well, I didn't turn it off
Normally I am meticulous about unplugging things, but forgot this one and it has been on all night
Iron is probably alright - it's a Tefal one and they are usually very good. I'll find out later.
Little bear cried all the way through his haircut. The hairdresser was brilliant and just snipped and tidied while he sobbed his heart out on mum's knee. He is getting a nap now.
Well, two lots of washing in, I'm writing a short piece of fiction for the roleplaying for my dear heart who is so stressed and then I am going to blitz the kitchen and try and remember how to work my breadmaker. I just wish I could be sensible about things. I had a Hinari breadmaker which was actually quite good, but then I got giddy and bought a Moulinex breadmaker because it had a jam making setting except that I don't grow enough fruit to make it worth making jam and I don't actually eat much jam and neither does dear heart. So I got rid of the Hinari because it took up more space than the Moulinex and now while I can remember the settings for the Hinari I can't for the Moulinex and it isn't as nice.
I hope there's room on the airer for the second lot of washing...
And last night we had some of those grills. I purchased some inexpensive grills for the freezer in case we had a summer and I could just do them with a salad or bread and butter and last night we had them with potatoes and peas (:o) and dear heart said that they tasted worse than inexpensive and that I should throw them out.
Sigh.
But once I've finished the fiction and blitzed the kitchen and put on the breadmaker so we can have fresh bread with ratatouille tonight - I'm definitely going to get on with the ironing, which is now a pile taller than I am.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
oooooooh fiction Sybil - sounds exciting. If you get stuck for ideas, open it up to us and we'll all come up with them
big ((((hugs)))) to squiggly and miss squiggly
big ((((hugs)))) to jannieannie
Also to those feeling under the weather.
I'm so pleased about your haircut JackieO - I'm sure you will really enjoy it.
Have had an extremely lazy morning here - still not feeling quite right - kind of sickie bug thing. The library emailed to say the 3 books I've ordered are in but I'm still in PJs and they close at 1 so I'll wait for tomorrow.
Plans for today include taking oldest dog for her annual booster. She has done so well on Flexadin for joints (£50 at vet but £19 something at vet.co.uk which was mentioned on the pets link I think, so quite a saving. I've been getting it from there for a while now). Youngest dog has started getting her tummy rash again so I'll have to go back with her. They thought last time that it was caused by blocked anal glands but I can't see why that would cause a tum rash. DH took her that time and didn't ask all the questions I would have. Sorry if this is TMI for people!
Off to put do a load of washing as per flylady for August. I am determined to keep up this time. Pity I'm not dressed to the shoes but you can't have everything flylady

Many (((hugs))) to Squiggly, Miss Squiggly and all those who have been affected by Zac's tragic death.
(((Hugs))) also to Beth and DB.
Pippa - I've just checked on Loving Hands and it's great that Lou is doing so well, isn't it?
Oh, well time for lunch then back to work.
Sun is shining and my washing is actually drying on the line - a miracle!
See you all later.
