Hope you are all ok,I am in shock today as I found out a friend has died who I knew and only saw on friday night to have a drink and chat in the pub.His Mum rang me this morning to let me know.I am ok now though after chatting to my sister and my parents about it.

I will have a nice day

thanks Beth I just feel so numb,so empty and all drained out if you know what I mean,I had a cry after I found out so that was all good.Had a sleep too and feel a bit better.I rang my other friend and his mum to check they were ok as well and to have a quick chat.

Sorry I cant advise you on your situation but I can say you have come to the right place.I just lighted a candle for the friend who died and that made me feel a whole lot better just by doing that and saying a few words to go with it.

Tulip, I have had time to sit and read the last few posts and I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. My thoughts are with you.

I am hoping that he comes tonight. But I won't contact him unless it gets very late. and if I do I will simply ask him if he is safe.

Many thanks again, beth, your words have helped me understand what it is i must do.

Looking back (I have been thinking about it all day understandibly) there were a few signs, I guess. He has had trouble getting out of bed in the mornings recently, been smoking ciggerettes (which he doesn't usually do), and been going hard out at the weekends.

all of those things, although I guess a little strange for him, aren't completely out of character. He's been known to do all of these things since I've known him from one time or another.

I think our row last night was, tbh, the needle in the haystack he'd been looking for in a way. He had a lot of time to think things through and didn't come to bed until 4am. Something he did last night really threw me. we were both angry at each other and he lent across from the bed and poured slowly (not threw) and glas of water over me.

I simply don't know where to go ffrom here. His folks are on the other side of the world and really they have a very flat relationship the three of them. I have thought about talking to my parens, but feel that may do more harm than good. Espicially as our arguement might get mentioned and it was of a personal matter.

We have lots of friends, but no-one I feel I can turn to about this. Therefore I asked your advice. Many many thanks for that.

I hope he comes home and I will keep you updated.

hope you are ok,I am fine today feeling better as well after my sad news I had yesterday morning,life has to go on so I am now doing just that,didnt watch Holby yesterday so having a catch up later on BT Vision.
