  • Morning all,

raining here again... summer is over then?! Feeling a bit bleary-eyed as DD's friends were here all night (awake!), and although not really noisy, the chatting, doors opening & shutting etc kept disturbing me. So not had very much sleep at all.... I might have a couple of hours later this afternoon as no specific plans for once.

JackieO, that's good news & you're very organised booking next year's holiday too!
And Aussie, booking cruises.. lovely! Say hi to my cousin in NZ when you go then :) Excellent news about YS's prospective house purchase as well. The island looks lovely (google is great!).
Pixie, hope DS's hypo wasn't as bad as the other day & that you manage to get babysitters sorted, sounds like an evening to look forward to.
Betheebee, that must be very frustrating for you, will there be an improvement once you've had the surgery?

Am sure there's lots more I was going to say, but brain will be very slow today. And I'm sure I'll be online again.

(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) to all those feeling poorly, sad or troubled, or just needing one.

Have a good day in the meantime. x

Good morning all. Late on here for me because I thought I'd get ahead of myself and get the BM and WM before HWMNBO got up for work. He's just left so I just need to clear up the breakfast things then put the ironing board up. I am out delivering completed work to clients from about 10am and don't want to have to come back and do the ironing. I'm trying to free up tomorrow because my Mum has made lots of things that she wants me to try and sell on Etsy - as she hasn't got a computer, I'll have to run it from here! She's great at sewing so I hope she can make a bit of money from it. I need to spend the morning photographing the things she has made and, hopefully, get the piccies uploaded. Which reminds me, I still haven't rotated my piccie on Facebook, RedRuby - I'll try and do that today or tomorrow!

(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Pixie's DS1, Beth's arms and her brothers, Candygirl's Dad and Essex-girl's Dad, Jayward and all who are in need today.

Aussie - the cruise sounds lovely; something to look forward to after Christmas!

N9EAV - I hope it doesn't rain today for you. It's rained here and it was a horrid wet and windy night. Like yesterday, the sun has appeared and the sky has gone blue but, like yesterday, it will probably change for the worse by lunchtime.

I haven't really caught up with all of yesterday's thread - I shall try and read it later.

Anyway, BM has just beeped so I must take the dough out. We have Spag Bol for dinner followed by stewed plums and blackberries for pud - still using up the last bit of clotted cream that BIL brought up from Devon.

Anyway, will love you and leave you and call in later.

    Have a good day, everyone.

Hi SQUIGGLY, I had my right one opped on in May It's not as bad as it was but still loose feeling at times, it's taken longer to heal than expected because the tendons are still inflamed after 3mths. Only time will tell with that one. When I have the opp on the left, am delaying that until Jan or Feb, it will stop it deteriorating and hopefully improve.

Thanks for asking, I think I bore everyone with my constant whinging. Have a good day.

    Good Morning

JackieO - gather congratulations are in order

Well its not raining in Essex at the moment, had a good day in London yesterday afterall - only got a bit wet once. Did go to Wagamamas for lunch which was very nice. Also treated myself to some lovely new notebooks from Paperchase as we dont have thoses locally.

Today I shall be in my office all day & hope to get a couple of horrible jobs out of the way that have been preying on my mind for sometime. If I do then I have promised myself that I will see some old friends tonight that I havnt caught up with for quite a few months, OH is normally at work but tonight is off so I am free!! Think we are meant to be going to La Tasca which is Spanish Tapas. Quite a long drive for me - 50 minutes each way - but it will be worth it.

That reminds me will need to get some petrol on the way, at least the prices have gone down some.

Off now to investigate the remoska thread - having good results with my one. Also hope that my Kenwood Slicer comes today.

    Have a great day all.

  • Morning Guys!

I got back late afternoon yesterday, but have missed you all lots.

I'm not sure if I will stay with mum again for a while as she fusses over me too much. I asked her not to fuss and she said okay, then in the next breath said that our tea and cake is done and she had got my paper delivered:rolleyes:...she has a housekeeper and was out chatting with her alot of the time as she gave me some great ideas for fish etc which we dont eat alot of and would like too. It was nice being spoilt but I was soooo bored. I have realised that mum is more stuck up than I originally thought:rolleyes: Maybe again in a few months, but we will see.

OH had made a lovely Roast Chicken meal last night. He was glad that I was back and said he didnt want me to leave him behind again. He had done some golf and spent some quality time with DD.

DD has her Tea Party tomorrow, so I think they will just go on the Wii and watch a film:confused:

I have hospital this morning, so better get moving.

    Hope you are all well.

  • Morning juliejim, thank you for starting the thread today!

Betheebee, that must be very frustrating for you, I hope you will feel better after the surgery and please do not worry, you will not bore anyone on here, we all know what it is like to have a whinge!!!:rotfl:

    Congrats to JackieO.

Hugs today for Smoky and kaat-lady and Annie and Mark and pennypincher, Candygirl's Dad and Essex-girl's Dad.

Welcome judi24! This board is really friendly and you will find some great recipes on the OS threads

So.. verysillyguy - do you know any of the chippendales personally??? *chuckles*

Anyway - The sun was shining earlier but right now the grey clouds are starting to come across the sky which is disappointing.

Having tuna and pasta bake for dinner. More eating from the store cupboard. I feel so virtuous!!

I hope everyone has a good day today and hugs to all who need them!

Congrats to anyone who is celebrating a birthday today.

    Morning all

And another wet one - I can't even see the hills this morning! (I have a lovely view from my bedroom of the place we sprinkled my dad's ashes....not able to see it today!)

Since I finished the garden I have only had ONE day I could sit out in it! Unbelieveable. And the forecast seems to say rain for the foreseeable future. The grass needs cutting but as I'm on clay it's too squelchy underfoot.

Yesterday was quite productive - mainly because my internet connection was down most of the day so I didn't waste time! I have OP'd my mortgage and got some cuttings of thyme and sage from my mum which are duly planted and likely to survive in this weather!

Also bought some baskets for the bottom study shelf to put odds and sods like chargers in. Then I lost Leo, and eventually found him very tidily in the one basket I hadn't used, tucked away on the shelf! Very obliging!

Not a lot planned for today - olympics this morning. As my mum pointed out, we seem to do very well in the events where you sit down or lie down!!!

Hugs all round and see you later,

    PO xx
