Hello everyone, remember me? I know it's only been a few days, but it feels like forever...
Where to start. Well, the aminopyralid website got hacked  and pretty much destroyed over the weekend. Someone else dealing with the chemical also got 'done over' a little while back so I think it was malicious. So I spent ages putting it back, decided I might as well make it look prettier while I was at it and... you know how it is. So I've spent so long on it over the last few days that my brain is frazzled, my eyes hurt, and if I never hear the 'A' word again it will be too soon. It's still not even halfway done, but I don't care anymore. It's going to have to wait until I'm ready.
The Patient has caught some kind of bug and got weak again, the doctor says it's nothing to worry about but he gave me a good old scare first. The Patient is not living up to his name, he just wants to be back to normal now, and I love him to bits and feel bad for him but the moaning is kind of getting to me now. I know that's an awful thing to say (and feel) but I don't know what he thinks I can do about it. I'm doing what I can for him but I'm not a miraculous healer. Yet. I'd love to find some latent talent for supernatural powers but I think that's because I read too many trashy books. :rotfl: As you might have noticed, my emotions are all over the place right now.
I'm on my third monthly in six weeks, (sorry to the boys here for sharing that) which is totally not right, but I'm told that's just stress and things will settle down once all this is over. Okay, so even my body is conspiring against me now.
Part of the enclosed porch ceiling has collapsed due to water damage for the second time, I have told the landlord that this time I want the guttering sorted properly, not some bodge job that's going to give way again in three months time. I have cleaned up the water damage and stuck the dehumidifier in there but there is mould up the walls so I've got to scrub them down now.
Oh, and while I was shopping last week a woman stopped me and asked if I'd try becoming an Avon rep, I said why not, and she came to sign me up yesterday.
Of course, the timing being absolutely perfect she wants me to try getting my first orders for Tuesday.
So I barely have time to breathe right now, but I missed everyone here too much so had to come and say hello
Sorry to rant all of this to everyone but I do feel better now I've got it all off my chest, so thankyou for listening.
W-Sybil, you made me laugh about evil cat again. I really needed it, so thankyou. I think your cat and my cat should get together and have a chinwag. They've definitely got a similar outlook on life.
Mummysaver :grouphug: that is so horrible. I am thinking of you.
Everybody whose news I've missed, I'm really sorry, I will catch up this evening. In the mean time huge hugs for anyone who wants or needs them.
I've missed you lot so much, even though it's only been a few days.

Afternoon folks:hello:
Floss - so sorry you didn't see the Ian Rankin programme after telling me about it.
JackieO - really pleased for you
(((hugs))) to poorlies and those feeling down.
Looks like it might rain here so the washing will go over the clothes horse. I have a load of towels in at the momnent. Have decided I need to get my butttt in gear and join flylady again, hence the washing on. We're planning to move next summer (back to Scotland

) and it will do me and the house good to be in a routine again. I am not very keen on housework although I like it when it's done! I've been a bit of a slob during the holidays but will need to get back into the routine as I start back at college next week. Teaching doesn't start for a couple of weeks after that so I have time to organise myself (maybe
).
Young dog is fast asleep all tucked up on her plump bed ( a folded sleeping bag in a dog bed - makes a really cosy snug bed). She cut her leg last week so has been on limited exercise and has had 'mental' games instead. She loves playing 'find it' with a suitably smelly sock (too much info? - they are always DH's, never my nice non-smelly ones
). Golden oldie (well, only 9 and quite sprightly) is asleep too but is our nanny dog and is always half awake to make sure her family is ok.
I've been out to Rainbow this morning which has got some great deals - lots of less than half price food including Kelloggs Cornflakes, carrots, tomatoes (fresh and tinned), cauli, cheese, milk + loads more. We also had a £4 off £20 coupon through our door so I did really well today. It has all helped my grocery challenge.
Ok off to put away some washing from a few days ago(!!)
Hope everyone has a good day

ed to add - Silver - cross posted. So sorry you have had such a hard time. ((((hugs)))) to you

Silvercharming - I am so glad that evil cat had a use. She wants to go out at the moment. I can tell this because I am typing this uphill as evil cat really really really is trying to sit on my hands.
I am sorry that your patient is being trying. I have often been tempted to say that if you are well enough to complain then you are well enough to behave, but I have always managed to stop myself in time. So far. It sounds like he is at the awkward stage of being well enough to be bored but too poorly to concentrate on anything. Is there anything you can ask him to do to distract him? Do you need any store cupboard stock taking and is he well enough to do it? How about sorting your bookshelf out? Is he well enough to do that - perotonitis (?sp) is a dreadful thing.
What is aminopyralid? Would I understand any explanation? I'm off to google, before the first stirrings of little bear turn into a need for lunch.
But you do seem to have such a time of it and I do hope it all gets sorted out, especially the lady bits. Look after yourself as well. Hugs.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Just googled aminopyralid.

Afternoon all.
Well, I keep promising myself that I'll get on here before midday, but I never seem to manage it.
I'm going to have to actually spend some money on myself soon, which I'm not terribly happy about. But I really do HAVE to get some new bras. The ones I have are falling apart, don't fit anymore (have to use extenders on the back), and are a total disgrace. Problem is, I don't know what size I really am now, as I gained weight when I was put on steroids a couple of years back, and I don't have any idea of how bust measurements work. Getting measured in a shop isn't an option, as I am phobic about physical contact with anyone other than Mr LW, and I can't just go and try on a selection, as I need Mr LW's help dressing and undressing, and I can't honestly see any shop letting him in the ladies' fitting rooms.
Not quite sure how to get around this one.
I have to make some cakes at some point today, as the cake tin in empty. Mr LW has put in a request for coffee and walnut buns, so I guess that's what I'd better make. He's such a great help with all my stupid health issues that I like to make food I know he'll enjoy.:o
I've been trying to decide what to do for dins tonight; I think we might have nut loaf with rice and sweet'n'sour sauce. I originally found the recipe for the sauce on a cider vinegar bottle; I've tweaked it a bit to suit us, and find it very easy to do.
Well I think I've waffled enough for now, have a good day everyone, and a ((((HUG)))) for any who want/need one.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LameWolf - try this for help: http://www.brameasurement.co.uk/ and can I suggest that you warm the tape measure up a little first, so it's not such a shock on the skin

Also, have you tried M&S, maybe they would allow him into their bra-fitting room if you make an ppointment & explain the assistance you need?0 -

silvercharming, sorry you are having such a tough time, well done on sorting the website again but do try & put your feet up & have a cuppa if you can.
Sunnyday, the thought of your toilet exploding made me smile...
Candygirl, I was reading at speed & misread & thought you said evil son... lol
LW, I'm sure you could probably find a fitting guide online, then perhaps buy an assortment in sizes either side of that, then try them on at home to see what fits??Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Sincere thanks to floss2 for that link. I've bookmarked it, and will get Mr LW to help me with an attempt at measuring later. Hopefully he won't find it too onerous a task:p Then with any luck I can do my purchasing online, and save the hassle of having to troll round the shops.
Oh yeah, I'm used to cold shocks on the skin - when we were first together, there was a day we were drinking cider in the back garden, I was wearing a cropped top at the time, and lying on the lawn, and he decided it'd be jolly good fun to put the cold tankard of cider on my bare midriff.   :rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Lame Wolf, if you are a fuller figure, do check out bravissima. They are quite expensive but very long lasting.
If you measure up with the assistance of Mr Lame Wolf (don't forget to allow for giggling!) then you can always 'test the water' by getting some inexpensive ones on ebay, not second hand, but perhaps less expensive that other online sources, to get the fit, then get some decent scaffolding.
This may be a long post as evil cat has just laid on top of the mouse.
Little bear has had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch, well, he has made a peanut butter sandwich look somewhat second hand. I was very concerned as all the stories about allergies are extremely scary. However, he stole my sandwich at the weekend and seemed to enjoy it, so I waited until I knew that the local medical centre was open (I am such a fusspot) and gave him his first peanut butter sandwich. He seemed to enjoy it, and he doesn't have that much appetite at the moment. Of course, that has opened the flood gates to all sorts of peanut butter stains, but PB has quite a bit of nutrition in it, in moderation. Regardless of the awful stories, little bear seems quite unconcerned.
So, when he has had a good play I will put him in his playpen and then I will do the ironingAnkh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Hi everyone - first of all I must apologise for the HWMNBO in my earlier post! I'm sorry it had some of you guessing. Yes, it means 'he who must NOT be obeyed'!
Beth - don't ever feel you are moaning about your arms; if there's one thing we are here for it's to support each other and be there to offload worries. I worry that you are doing too much; I'm amazed by how much you achieve!
Silvercharming - (((hugs))) to your patient.
PenPin - your Mum can't help fussing, I'm afraid. I've told mine I shall spend a few days with her at the end of September, near her birthday, and I know she's fuss over me totally. I'm still her baby - albeit a very old one!
Shez - (((hugs))) to you on the anniversary of your Dad's death.
Re: the boob. Old McDonald - everyone here knows that I cannot post photos on here for some reason, despite trying several ways. I CAN post them onto our knitting group here http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wooligan/ but you'll need to join it to see the photos! You need to 'apply' and then I have to 'approve' you. I'll try and post some photos of the boob on there in a minute!
Well, I delivered my typed work this morning and picked up some more so that will keep me busy tomorrow as well as loading stuff onto Etsy for my Mum and various other things.
Anyway, must go and see if I can load the photos on. I took them because my Mum was struggling with the pattern and I sent piccies to her to see if they could help!
See you all later. By the way, it's stopped raining here - for about five minutes, I suspect!
