I now realise that YOU meant no offence and both MY tone and vocabulary were uncalled for.

Went to ASDA tonight, spent over £30 and the cashier then the supervisor both refused the coupons saying that i had to buy the product, i know people are saying ASDA's policy will change from 1st Oct but am i correct in thinking that they should have taken these vouchers? They were only for a total of about £3.50.0

Yes you are right and I'd have left the trolley and walked off. Now I would write a nice letter to their head office advising them that you felt so embarassed and you can't see you wanting to go into the store again.............should get you at least £10 in vouchers. That will teach them to train their staff properly.:D

'Now Mansfield has implied a Coupon Size policy......Your "Safe Coupons" must be the actual size that they are originally printed off at, taking out duplicates that have been blown up to improve the scanned barcode. A template is in place on each till to detect any enlarged coupons.'
All couponet coupons print at the same size.
Why on earth would anyone 'blow up their coupon size just to improve the scanned barcode'
This would be a very time consuming task, (we are talking couponnet coupons again here) meaning that the coupon would have to be scanned into a PC, so that the enlargement could be made!!!! I THINK WE ALL KNOW, THAT THIS TASK WOULD ONLY BE UNDERTAKEN BY SOMEONE WITH THE INTENTION OF DUPLICATING!
Anyone claiming that this is their reason for possessing enlarged coupons, needs to ask themself, who they think they are kidding!
Mr T is not stupid, he is not a charity, he is a business. Dishonest couponners who duplicate these coupons are thieves. Mr T cannot redeem duplicate coupons. Mr T will lose a lot of money. Mr T will say no more!
The sheer greed of certain individuals (small minority) will certainly stop this very generous policy. Do they not realize that they too will lose out when Mr T says no more?
This problem is not just in Mansfield as I have stood in a queue waiting to pay and witnessed these oversized coupons in the hands of customers also waiting to pay. OR SHOULD THAT BE STEAL  It makes me very, very angry.
Before you start getting on your high horse again and try to be moralistic.....
Are Tesco not "Stealing" from the likes of Pedigree, Go-Cat, Colgate, Nicorette etc etc by contravening the terms of these companies coupon policys by accepting them off of alternative products. It clearly states on all safe coupons that theyre not to be redeemed against any other product?
Are you that nieve to really think that this is all one big goodwill gesture from "Mr-T"? (Tesco to normal people). This is just another way for Tesco to do what they do best and monopolise with only concern for themselves. They opened the coupon floodgates in an attempt to take custom from its competitors.....not to help joe public through these poor economic times. Please wake up and smell the coffee (2 For 1 at Mr Ts......or 2 For nothing with Coupons).
So next time you want to start enlarging your sentences or make your words a pretty red colour........maybe have a think about the 50 year old family run shops and local business's its closed down in its continued monopoly of towns and villages in this country......2 years ago Mansfield Tesco was a Leisure Centre for the locals to take part in fitness activities, a social drink, comedians, fairs etc.....And you think you can come on here calling people thieves and stealers?
I think you need to open your eyes a little more to the world we live in before attempting to spout off any more drivvel.Peace will come to me0 -
I feel a war coming on, I'm getting out of here.

I did my first Tesco shop with coupons I printed out thanks to all concerned. I split my shop into two and saved over £8 no problem except...
The only coupon that would not scan was one cut out from the Tesco magazine!!!
Question. I printed out onto white cheap card to make them look genuine - but is printing out on ordinary paper ok and do you copy something onto the back of the page.
p.s. I also did another Tesco shop on line which is much easier for us with no transport and used a £9 off code - its all a very big help to us with no income.
many thanks

The store with the 10 Coupon limit. Can get very busy at times and be stood queing for ages, but worth the wait im sure. Never any problems here, apart from the odd moan and groan from the oldies (usually upstairs on the dvd & cloths till). Checkout staff are mainly young ones.....and a few corkers at that. . Overall decent bunch that seem to have taken the most sensible step (10 coupons) in kerbing any coupon abuse. The Security Guards look like there more bothered about looking in the mirror or flexing there pecks at the young girls than wathcing how many times you go in.
was told today they will soon be stopping moc as had alot of copies recently. used upstairs today as had some footwear to exchange. bill came to just over £11, gave SA my moc, who said she needed to have my moc checked. 15 mins and 2 managers later, SA took my coupons.0
