. If anyone has official proof that coupons can be used against petrol costs could you please post it on this thread?

The only proof I have is the diesel in the car and the money in my wallet.. I don't make a habit of it........the clue is the the user name!!!!:rotfl:
However, occasionally a bit of fossil fuel is good to experiment with in the tank when you are playing/paying with coupons. 10 litres of genetically modified vegetable oil for £7.99, in a store with 30 checkouts, paid for with coupons is MUCH more pleasant than standing in a long snaking queue in the petrol station with one till working!
I'll see if I can dig out the receipt and scan it for youangry-smiley-030.gif
£5 fuel, Daily Mail, tender a couponnet £1 voucher & £5 note resulting in 50p change, 5 clubcard points and a green point (for using my own brown hesian bag to carry the paper) tells me it does everything I said in my post!
It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)

Bring back the combined coupon thread, where we could share good news aswell as bad. The arrival of a new coupon always brought a few smiles, and made discussion more positive.

All the postings on the coupon only thread get removed for including chat. But who decided this way forward? Is the starter of the thread in charge or an MSE mod? If it was considered too long, you should see the Boots grabbit people go. A new thread is needed every few days.

Us couponers need cheering up :D

If you were using 2 coupons with the same barcode, then surely that means you were using 2 of the same coupon, which IS against Tesco policy. If you were not using 2 the same, how did they compare them?

Of course, if you bought the items, that's different. I do think the coupon people need to all make them look better. The green Mitchum one does not even say the amount unless you take the whole sheet in. I think couponet are improving, and i can see a time when your name and address etc is on the coupon. Some already include the name. But then how do they know who you really are? A membership number perhaps - sent via post to verify the address.

Regarding the Tesco and Asda clamp downs, constantly emailing copying coupons was bound to bring this crashing down.

If you are onto a good thing, you should just enjoy it and not bring attention to it.

That said, the staff at TESCO making life hard and treating genuine couponers like crooks, despite their company policy, as made it difficult to go about this quietly.

What it is at oak tree tesco they let you split your shopping up. so i did one lot of shopping with one lot of coupons, then when i did another lot straight after because i had used coupons on my previous shop i was told i couldnt use anymore with the same barcode as the last lot of coupons which is rediculous as they unlimited print outs and got asked if i had scanned them on to my computer, which is what peeved me off because obviously all the people who use coupons would all have the same barcode so what they are trying to say is all coupon users are copying the unlimited amount ones, i wish they would make their minds up
  • thanks for the warning knew would come to an end soon. all good things come to an end!

Oh, ive never tried that, but it does say you can do it on the latest coupon reminder. I have several local Tescos, so i just go a different one each time with the same batch of coupons..

I've just printed a load of coupons off, and even bought a better printer, so i'm a bit peeved that i might get stuck with them if a new policy is due out today. :(

I have been reading these forums for approximately 5 months. But today I have felt compelled to register and post this message.

Firstly, thank you very much to all those members who spend their time posting Links and tips regarding coupons. I have become an addicted couponer and have saved so much money. THANK YOU AGAIN :j

    tesco shopper,

The problem you describe this morning lies with the couponnet coupons only. Stores are being bombarded with copies of these, which as i'm sure you know are not legit.

Some stores have got a certain few 'shoppers' who have clearly scanned the couponnet coupons into their PC and are reproducing their coupons time and time again. In some cases the coupons are oversized. This would seem to be the problem that you have incurred this morning.

This 'practise' of reproducing a unique couponnet coupon WILL
end Mr T's very, very generous coupon policy.

When all these duplicated couponnet coupons are returned unpaid from the sorting house, the 'poo will hit the fan'.

We will all lose out because of those attempting to cheating and steal. It's a bit like going shopping with a fake tenner (that you know is fake)

I hope anyone reading this post (who duplicates there coupons) will stop immediately.

It is only a small minority of shoppers, but they will spoil it for everyone!!

This is probably not the smartest thing to ask (so please dont yell at me!!) but yesterday when i went to my local sainsburys, they has a whole bunch of 50p off birdseyes fishfingers mocs (naturally i grabbed 20......then went back for seconds...)BUT

i was wondering, do you think that birdseye would accept and reimburse photocopies of this moc?i ask purely because it doesnt say anywhere on the fine print "do not accept photocopies..." . Does this mean we can photocopy them?

That being said, it is just a thought - i would never abuse the tesco coupon policy (EVER!!!)

To do so would result in me living in a cardboard box so your thought on this would be great..?:money:
  • I only have a printer that prints black and white so the coupons i print off actually look like photocopies even though they are not. Will I still be able to use these vouchers or not does anyone know?
    Thanks
  • Hi,

If anyone in the Mansfield area encounters coupon problems, please post on here, or if anyone finds out their new policy please let us know, I wont be going shopping till tonight but will post if I find anything out.

    Many Thanks

Hi, Tried using black and white legit coupons, when I first started (to save on ink), but found them difficult to use with some SA's, better of with colour if you can.
