  • In my post above, I am only referring to the couponnet coupons. As all the other coupons, michum, tetley etc etc are available for unlimited use.

I think the 'barcode' that tesco shopper is referring to is actually the 16 digit unique code on the couponnet coupons.

i know which code you are referring to but i was told and shown the barcode must be different. when i was told the serial numbers must be different i immediately thought the coupon net ones which is fair enough, but when a runner came over and looked at the barcodes on all coupons mitchum, tetley etc, she said that the bar code 99..... must not be the same which is what got me riled up how can they have a different barcode when it is a set one for the particular product which gives a set amount off the total. i know what i am referring to because i didnt use any coupons off couponnet at the time and secondly couponnet coupons have a water mark underneath the e.g £1.00 off which becomes fainter when reproduced so is clearly identified as a copy thanks.

I have been reading these forums for approximately 5 months. But today I have felt compelled to register and post this message.

Firstly, thank you very much to all those members who spend their time posting Links and tips regarding coupons. I have become an addicted couponer and have saved so much money. THANK YOU AGAIN :j

    tesco shopper,

The problem you describe this morning lies with the couponnet coupons only. Stores are being bombarded with copies of these, which as i'm sure you know are not legit.

Some stores have got a certain few 'shoppers' who have clearly scanned the couponnet coupons into their PC and are reproducing their coupons time and time again. In some cases the coupons are oversized. This would seem to be the problem that you have incurred this morning.

This 'practise' of reproducing a unique couponnet coupon WILL
end Mr T's very, very generous coupon policy.

When all these duplicated couponnet coupons are returned unpaid from the sorting house, the 'poo will hit the fan'.

We will all lose out because of those attempting to cheating and steal. It's a bit like going shopping with a fake tenner (that you know is fake)

I hope anyone reading this post (who duplicates there coupons) will stop immediately.

It is only a small minority of shoppers, but they will spoil it for everyone!!

I have to say I totally agree, just came on to post my own similar rant.

I`ve been to chesterfield road Mr T's today and spoke to a very friendly SA there, she said the management was considering stopping ALL coupons, because thay had been bombarded with obvious copied couponnet vouchers, people reading this that do copy these must stop, as this will stop all coupons, for all of us.
There are enough printable coupons for all to save alot of money, DONT SPOIL IT.
  • I totally agree with what you are sayin about copying coupon net ones as the others are unlimited and there should be no need to copy them, but when your made to feel like a theif when using the unlimited coupons such as tetley, mitchum, cow and gate, heinz etc etc .. it is very upsetting and i still just don't understand how the unlimited coupons are supposed to have different barcodes.
  • Sorry to be a bit thick but i'm new to printing coupons

Ive just been on the printable coupons no chat thread and wondered.

How many times can I print out the same coupon with the same bar code please (like mitchum, tetley cow&gate etc) - to be legal.

    many thanks

    Hello

The ones you can download as pdf documents you can print them to your hearts content :D

The other ones from couponnet only allow you to print either 1 or 2.

    I hope this helps

  • I went into my local Tesco this evening and was told that they were no longer taking ANY internet coupons - no exeptions. Up till then they had been allowing me two couponnet coupons per shop, reducing to one last week. Looks like it's going to be a national thing.

    Here here.

There are enough coupons around without doing this, and a member of staff has confirmed that using copies and using coupons not intended for Tesco etc are the reason that my store has banned internet coupons.

The Daily Mails book coupons, widley boasted when being used by people on here, was a major no-no, as it was not intended for Tesco.

If you were using 2 coupons with the same barcode, then surely that means you were using 2 of the same coupon, which IS against Tesco policy. If you were not using 2 the same, how did they compare them?

Of course, if you bought the items, that's different. I do think the coupon people need to all make them look better. The green Mitchum one does not even say the amount unless you take the whole sheet in. I think couponet are improving, and i can see a time when your name and address etc is on the coupon. Some already include the name. But then how do they know who you really are? A membership number perhaps - sent via post to verify the address.

Regarding the Tesco and Asda clamp downs, constantly emailing copying coupons was bound to bring this crashing down.

If you are onto a good thing, you should just enjoy it and not bring attention to it.

That said, the staff at TESCO making life hard and treating genuine couponers like crooks, despite their company policy, as made it difficult to go about this quietly.
