Staff at ASDA have been told that they will not accept ANY vouchers unless the item is bought. This comes into force on 1st of October so if you've saved up a load of coupons get them used now

My friend works in our local Asda, just asked her about this and it's news to her.

Was in my local Asda today and used a pile of MOCs all were taken with no problem and no mention of the policy changing

A quick way to print multiple coupons

If we take, as an example, the tumbletots voucher on post #70 of the NO CHAT thread. http://www.tumbletotscoupons.co.uk/images/TT08_13.pdf
Click on the link and then go to page 2 of the pdf file. Assuming you haven't got a pdf writer, here's what I do using software that came with my windows xp ages ago.
    1. press “ALT +PrtScr" together (Printscreen button is usually at the top right of your keyboard)
    2. open Paintbox (start, allprograms, accessories, paint)
    3. place cursor in middle of page, left click then press “CTRL+ V” (or right click and paste)
    4. Use the icon that looks like a dotted rectangle (on left side) to crop the image you want.. left click on it then click on the top left corner of the voucher, keep mouse button pressed and drag to the bottom right of the voucher
    5. press “CTRL + C” to copy the voucher
    6. press “CTRL +N” to get a new page (say “No to keeping changes)
    7. press “CTRL+V” to copy your new voucher into the new page
    8. left click on “File” (topleft) then “page setup” and change settings to landscape and fit to 1 page of 1
    9. Save the file somewhere where you can find it easily(CTRL +S) I called mine “CowAndGate” in “My pictures” folder
    10. Go to your file (Start, My pictures) highlight the file and right click on it
    11. press “open with” and choose “windows picture and fax viewer”
    12. Follow the instructions until you get to “layout selection” and then choose the “9 x13” cutout prints, number of times to use each picture ...select 4
    13. You could also try the wallet prints, getting 9 per page but I find these don't scan at checkouts very well.
Go to instuction 10) each time you want more coupons.
Obviously this can be made much easier if you have better software or are more familiar with your PC, but this should hopefully give a way for most people who are printing off one at a time.
If I can make this any clearer please DO pick faults with it, and I'll edit it to make it clearer.
I hope this helps at least one of you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I have been struggling for ages to try and do this but do not have the knowledge to do so. Thanks again!

I tend to shop more at Tesco but if it turns out to be true that Asda are changing their policy Tesco will be getting all my business and coupons!

I ignored all the advise given here about keeping a low profile, threw the toys out the pram,angry-smiley-030.gif and sent a polite email to Tesco, when a store (not my local) didn't understand their own policy. This was a few weeks ago. Got this email back yesterday! The red highlighted bits, were put in by me for effect!

She will also do her best to ensure that all of the staff in the store are aware of the correct procedure regarding coupons.

However, the telephone number for each store can be accessed on the 'Store Locator' service on our website (http://www.tesco.com/storelocator). Alternatively, if you experience any further problems in any of these stores, please let me know and I will investigate them for you.

My Tesco doesn't take money off coupons. I went all the way to it just to use my coupons up and all they said to me was "sorry we don't take them but Asda do"

Asda only take off £1 for a £10 spend right, or will they take off more, i've never dared try more then £1 for £10 and £2 for £20 :o

On a different note. I just emailed Wilkinson sword to see if they give money off coupons, i got a reply from some man saying no, i feel silly now for asking :o

Also it's wilkisnon sword / energiser, when did this happen

I think a quick polite letter to the Store Manager, telling him/her exactly what you've said here (in bold) would put the cat among the pigeons in that store! Do they really want people going to Asda instead of Tesco - I think not!

I am with veggiecar and sinw on this issue - no point in keeping a low profile IMHO as long as you are using one of each legit coupons in Tesco. I raised my profile in my locals to the extent that most of the managers know me and the SAs call me the Coupon Lady - but so what? They follow the coupon policy now and they didn't before!

I've now printed up some coupons to educate/remind SA's of their policy and it points them to the coupon thread, since they all ask where I get them from!
I might try them in a set of different colours so they can swap them in the canteen! LOL I've added it to the other files

Prints off as 4 vouchers, as per previous instructions in Window print and fax viewer.
