No, I have never had a problem with it but then it's saved to my pc which is always the best advice for unlimited printables (the original links get pulled).

But I am AMAZED to read the ridiculous posts which say that people have been splitting their shopping up to use duplicate coupons (i.e. the same batch of MOCs twice or more in a day at one store). Come on!! Surely those that have done this (with SA agreement) have worked out it's not in line with the Tesco coupon policy?

If I had done this at my local when the coupon policy came in there last year they would soon have clamped down - but I didn't and they didn't. If I had done, I could have saved hundreds per day - for a very short time. Instead I saved whatever I had the MOCs for that day, every day, but with only one of each MOC and ONE visit/transaction per day to that store. It isn't rocket science and many of us seasoned couponers stick to this - if I want more stuff the same day I drive on to a Waitrose or Asda.

Hey presto! I have a fave store that has played ball with me for nearly 18 months (and I have a very high profile there). Please don't moan and groan if your store has suddenly realised (doh!) their cashiers shouldn't have been allowing people to split their shopping and use duplicate MOCs each day. Update or no update (and I think there was no update BTW... ).

I think the confusion has come in since the NOTW vouchers came in where they say 'why not buy more than one copy and use a coupon against each £30 transaction'. But there's a big difference - these are not manufacturers' coupons, they are conditional spend vouchers which they do allow you to use more than one of, if you spend the required amount each time. They are a loss leader and Tesco don't have to reclaim the money, all they care about is that the required spend limit is reached and splitting shopping to use this type of voucher has always been OK.

What part of 'one of each coupon' do some newbies not understand, lol?!

you would get a better response if you went and hit yr head on the wall coupon mad.
  • Why is it that everytime you come on here there is always the people who know best. The ones that tell us all what we can and cannot do. I to split my shopping and use coupons that is my personal choice i have never had any problems doing this and it does state that customers can split their shopping in Tescos policy. So why do people feel the need to be rude and tell us we are doing wrong. Till Tesco tells me i cannot do this then i will continue.
  • Can everybody just chill out, I and many others just want to get on and save a bit of money using genuine moc's!..............Now for people who want to save...........Tescos are selling Oasis 1.5L Bottles 2 4 £2, on each label there is a £1 moc of which I have used today no problems, so spend or moc £2 and get £2 moc back, not bad eh!!

P.S. wasnt sure weither or not to post here, but didnt want to risk an ear full if posted on 'no chat'!!!!!!!!!

    No it doesn't.

The fictitious update posted by a newbie last week said that.

  • firstly if you look at the new policy for tesco it clearly states "customers can split their shopping" and secondly we are not duplicating because with one lot of shopping as you are supposed to 1 OF EACH COUPON, once that transaction has been made and the customer does another one they can use 1OF EACH COUPON again, the limited print only as they are always checking the personalised coupon number on the coupon net ones to pick out copies.

Has this "new policy" been verified?. I saw the scanned in version and am not convinced by it.

It was the "customers can split their shopping" bit that made me doubt it as Im sure they would not want customers doing this!

Ive been a hardcore couponer for 18 months now and reap the benefits from it but Ive never split a shop or used the same set of coupons for each shop
  • Well a s/a gave me her copy of the policy so why dont you all get off your high horse and leave people to do as they please. After all we are all adults, and just because you dont do it doesnt make it wrong. And for those that say we are duplicating the coupons because we split our shopping should take a look at themselves because they use the same ones the week after. Why does it all come down to !!!!!yness its like workin with a bunch of women.

I have also been a regular and know my local tesco's policy through my loyal s/a's keeping me upto date and showing me in black and white the so called scan version. also are you saying that one day you use tetley, mitchum etc , and the next time you don't use them you use completely different named coupons not the unlimited coz if not who are you to critise anyone i go roughly once a week and do my main shop in 4 lots. which is perfectly acceptable as i have been questioned by s/a or otherwise. try it yourself!

I've been using coupons for a few years now and happily discount my bill substantially each time I visit. I guess over this time it has probably saved me many thousands of pounds. That is why a number of people get 'upset' when a minority of 'newbies' come along who could spoil it for all. I have a great relationship in my local Tesco. I've even had my Dad doing the same for the last few years. Imagine then after all this time, playing ball, some idiot came along stuffing any kind of coupon in the Self Service, splitting their shops up so openly, using duplicate couponnet coupons. What a great way to spoil it for others. As for working with a bunch of women - no I'm not a woman, I am a Dad trying to give my kids the nicer things in life. Instead of cheap ham - they can have slightly better. Instead of fatty bacon they can have the nice stuff. Instead of plain digestives they can have Twix's etc.

Now if you want to spoil it for everybody else that is upto you. Small term gains will lose you thousands over the coming years. Think about it!!!!

  • Hi,
Went to Tesco's earlier today, spent £40. Found a young chap on the checkout and thought he would take coupons. Anyway, how wrong was I, he called a supervisor. She informed me that because I hadn't bought any of the items on the coupons, she could only take one. Not one of each, just one. So she looked through and took the lowest priced one 25p.

    Is this the new policy?

Last week a very nice checkout man took everyone of my coupons.

    Please advise
A little thanks now and again would be nice.;)

Sadly no it is not the right policy. The supervisor must have been in one of the lower classes in her supervisor training school. Maybe she was off on the day they covered the coupon policies;)

    Next time you go

    1) Try a different lad
    2) Try and clock which supervisor is on duty
