my post was in response to lovinthecoupons, unless you are the same person.

i dont need to ask, as i dont need to spilt my shopping up. i do a tescos shop once/twice a week and have enough moc to get my shopping down to a few £'s or p's each time.

i just wish ppl wouldnt take it the wrong way when others are just trying to be helpful and warn of what they shouldnt do, regardless of what the new policy version says. for the sake of saving few extra £'s, as when it stops there will be no saving at all.
fair enough and no im not lovinthecoupons as well. maybe you have plenty of money not to split your shop and the maximum amount of coupons i use is £6 coz they are the only ones that are unlimited. i don't have lots of money and i don't find any other mocs to make them up so i have to split my shopping. i haven't had a problem so far apart from some confusion over what the s/a's were lookin for now that has been smoothed over i dont need to winge. im just simply saying after payin all my outgoings im left with a few quid(not literally) and need to ensure my kids are fed. therefore the only way i can afford to do that is to split my shopping, i'm not proud of having to use coupons but when its the only my kids can have more than just beans on toast every night coz thats all we could probably afford,(and at that we both work) i have to do what i can to feed them.

Oh no? You both have an extremely similar style of writing, such as typing s/a instead of (the more usually typed) SA, also starting your replies with a lower case letter. Also you replied by mistake as tesco shopper, to a post addressed to lovinthecoupons (a schoolboy error!) and is it a just coincidence you are both in Emmamed's area?

Anyone apart from myself and Emmamed not convinced yet? Well what about the dropping of 'g' on the following quotes and the use of !!!! here by both, who coincidentally posted within minutes of each other:

    QUOTE lovinthecoupons:
Why does it all come down to !!!!!yness its like workin with a bunch of women.

    QUOTE tesco shopper:
stop !!!!!ing and think about why we use coupons
checkin the date and so on

Do I detect a pattern here? Shurely shome mistake!!

I think you have been sussed, hope you also get sussed by the Store Manager. What you are doing with multiple shops in one store is plain stupid and I make no apology for saying that.

This is what I heard and confirmed by the S/A.

With effect from tomorrow, Tesco Oak Tree Lane & Mansfield will only accept maximum 10 coupons. Also you are only allowed to enter the shop once a day! (MAD but that is how it is - maybe only apply to those who used coupons). This policy apply to all tesco branch. I went to Hucknall branch yesterday, I was only allowed to used 10 coupons & was told by the supervisor that I cannot do my shopping on the same day again (meaning dont come back!!!).

Not mad, sensible if they have had similar selfish behaviour by shoppers returning from their car to use a second set of MOCs, or splitting their shopping on the conveyor. Sorry to some that still do this but IMHO it is selfish and very short-termist, there's no excuse for bending the rules.

But at least that store is taking action that doesn't involve banning coupons completely. Think yourself lucky they haven't said 'no coupons at all' - but if I were you I would learn from the behaviour that's caused them to introduce the 10 maximum. Couponing can be a long term pleasure if no-one overdoes it in one store.

You could of course return to the store the same day but not using coupons. It's the same in my locals, it's fair and means that each customer has a chance to use coupons once a day if they want to. Not that many do, but that's a good thing for us couponers.

  • I think all these posts that are discussing various stores and what policy they stick to are completely irrelevant. One day a s/a will take the coupons another day a different s/a in same store won't.

The best thing is if you just go in with your legitimate coupons and hope they take them. If they do, that's great and if they don't then you either have to pay up or just calmly walk out of the shop and leave your shopping behind.

Obviously photocopying a coupon is a big no no, but printing as many PDF ones that you like is obviously ok. I personally don't split my shopping as I usually have a spend and save coupon, say £4 off £40, so just buy stuff to that amount and pay in one go.

By the way been to Wigan store today, bill came to £41 after MOCS I paid £28. The very pleasant s/a took all the coupons bar one, which was for an item that, unbeknown to me, they don't stock.

????? you saying the policy is changing everywhere
  • there are alot people on this site who are from the mansfield area and surrounding area and maybe we have the same way of writing. i personally know who lovinthecoupons is and don't feel the need to have two accounts just to back myself up. has it ever occurred to you that 2 people can have the same opinion in the same area or is this ludacris. you must be the big i am and don't like the fact some one else got a better tesco's that allows them through more than once. as for the new policy comin in to force that is fair enough because people who use loads of coupons in one set hold up the queue and trhis can be frustrating where as when you only use about 9 bacause how people get enough coupons to take about £20 off shop i do not know and i was being accussed of copying. if i feel the need to inform couponers in my local area i know who some are so will just pm them and this will end the juvenile bickering going on here after all we are fully grown adults, oops does this sound like lovinthecoupons i best learn a new style of writing as obviously 2 of us can not write the same!

  • I'm having no luck trying to get this voucher. I have a fleeting glimpse of several jars of coffee, presumably "The Collection", then 2 annoying birds are flying across the screen, and the message "Loading 0%" appears. Many thanks to R4pture for printing all the links - it must take you hours.

I had the same thing happen. The way round it is to click the link then (very quickly!!!) position your mouse to the far right of the new window that pops up. In the "fleeting glance" you will see the words "Just for You" in yellow on the right - this is the link which takes you to the coupons. There is just enough time to click on it if you have your mouse positioned right before the annoying birdies come up - might take 2 or 3 attempts though.
