I'm not sure, but a few years ago I found a spider on the inside of my shower curtain, so I blasted it with the shower and washed it down the drain. A few days later, another spider popped up my sink's plughole as I was cleaning my teeth!! You've never heard anyone scream so loud!
Not sure if it was the same spider, definitely wasn't getting close enough to compare, but I've never flushed a spider since.Lead me not into temptation - I can find it perfectly well all by myself0 -

I have wonderful luck with spiders in cars... I'll discover them running around the visors or dash just as I'm driving in heavy traffic. YIKES!:beer:0

Hi
Does anybody have a way to stop spiders?
I keep moving them on and dusting the cobwebs away but they re-appear a day or 2 later!
Many thanks

There's a thread here about OS ways to stop them.0

Apparently they don't like citronella, so perhaps it might be worth dabbing/spraying a few drops of it around, see if it gets rid of them.0

This year I have been putting conkers all around my lounge after reading about it on here and I haven't seen any of those huge, hairy spiders at all.
It might just be coincidence of course, but I usually get loads of spiders in the autumn so I am sticking with the conkers.0 -
I just use a fluffy feather duster on a long pole, I twirl it around the spider till it is stuck on and gently put it outside.
I can't sleep without my window open at night so if there is something I could hang there to deter them coming in, it would help.0 -
