I got more done off my list after DS went to bed. When we moved in to the house in May there was so much stuff that was just in bin bags in the bottom of the closet. We had these shelves up next to the closet that looked like someone started to build one for folding but forgot to put the doors on.There was just stuff shoved all over them. A few weeks ago I sewed a set of curtains for the shelves but never cleared them.
Tonight I cleared the shelves and the closet-there are now only shoes and the hoover on the floor.
Im feeling quite proud of myself-I found an old chicco buggy carry bag shoved in there and since we have a maclaren now that doesnt fit, I was getting ready to chuck it on freecycle.DF was looking at me like Id gone barmey "who the... is going to want a buggy carry bag?" I was struggling to figure out how to get the hoover to stay in the closet without tangling in the clothes and....ta da...detached the pipes from the body...body on floor...pipes in chicco bag and hung on a hanger in wardrobe:j
I also finished the laundry and got DS bedding out of TD (currently only have one set)Oh and I put the airbeds in the loft.

Also, found all the gifties bought for christmas (been getting stuff for the kids from pound store-arts and craft and paint by numbers etc) put them all in a box on the cleared shelf, found out tons of stationary I forgot I had and a frame with a photo collage of my dads second wedding  where to hang it?

    Serena I love your signature.

Im off to watch some telly now.

    Evening all :)

Feeling rather sheepish coming on here today as I've done NOTHING!! I went out searching for a new sofa which took hours and was completely fruitless :(

Came in, cooked dinner, watched corrie, EE and BB and now I'm off to bed :o

Ah well, it'll all still be there in the morning :D

    Night all

    xx

pigpen Thanks for everything. Huge hugs for you :grouphug: I hope you are feeling a bit better now DH has gone away. I have lost count of the times we have parted on such terms like you and DH. I usually find a day of cleaning purges me of my frustrations with DH. Especially with a bit of organising the kids.

Thanks.. I am feeling a bit less stressheady.. I felt better knowing he spent last night on the sofa and is in a fleapit hotel for the next couple of days.. the company is paying.. and the bumpy landing scared him.. and he is freezing!! Evil aren't I? .. it is a good job I sent him with some food though otherwise he'd have nothing to eat because we couldn't afford for him to take a huge amount of money this time.

Another 'virtual mother' here rather than a 'virtual sister'!:D

pigpen - hugs. I'd be round like a flash if I lived nearer, although I don't do sick either - suggest a bucket of disinfectant and very hot water, and pour over. Preferably with your eyes closed.

We are ALL virtual sisters.. age is of no importance here we are all equal.. we all hate cleaning, we would all live in a skip if we didn't come here (some of us do even though we are here!!) We have so much in common.. age is only counted on time.. I think it should be counted on experience, life skills and maturity (there is me aged about 5!!)

  • 11:55 and just winding down for the night. Didn't get DS2 to bed till nearly nine so everything was late as a consequence. The little monkey was trying to feed from me for hours. I decided in the end he couldn't be hungry, and he managed to latch onto my inner upper arm and has left a mark like a love bite. No wonder BF can be so painful.

Anyway, not doing too badly with preparing for the visitors, but there is still quite a lot to do tomorrow morning before DH picks them up at 11:10.

Kaz - probably too late but have a great holiday

Pigpen - hope you feeling better tomorrow. Has DH been in touch?

Poohbear - if you are hoping to see the sea at Southport don't forget your binoculars!! Good luck with the house search.

Lil_me - welcome back, glad you had a good holiday and birthday. 30 is young believe a 45 year old.

Polka - you are making brilliant progress and being very resourceful

Tooti - thanks for the one liners and for the draught excluder instructions - noticed a gale under one of the doors this am so good timing

Sexymouse - great story and plans - been with OH for over 6 years and he is another commitment phobe (divorced after a short marriage). We were on a long holiday in NZ earlier this year including 29 Feb so I was going to propose. Didn't as 2 nights before had a vivid dream in which he tried to kill us both in a car crash as he was fed up of everyone going on about us getting married!! Turns out he was very worried that day that I would ask him but says I missed my opportunity as he would have said yes. So ring or no ring, I shall just consider myself lucky to be with him :D

Full list to do tomorrow - OH back Wednesday and friends here next Saturday.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli
