I just went down to the courtyard to see how I could use it. Once DF does something with the redundant motorbike there'll be lots of space (as courtyards go). The thing is-its really just a concrete slab that was laid but I guess its been there a while as its all cracked in places and weeds are coming up through the cracks.
How do I get rid of the weeds? ive only ever dealt with weeds in grass and soil (dig em up)

If you pull them out carefully you should get the root as well.. then tip salt down the cracks (or jeyes fluid) and it will kill them off completely!!

Thank you, are you feeling any better?

So I think I've had a very productive week thanks to all of you:j
Also, there is someone offering plant pots on freecycle so Ive arranged to go pick up a load of them tommorow (when DF is here to look after DS)-Im calling that my "Me-time" appointment. The lady who lives across from us is very into her garden and I told her what I want to do.She has some extra potting soil that I can have and has said she will raid her garden for cuttings for me. So I wont have to pay for my herb garden-which is nice as Ive never grown herbs from scratch and would hate them all to die on me:eek:

Back in from work and posting prepared replies :D

Polkadot – thank you I am hoping to, but walking miles round Disney and then pitching tents! my kind of holiday is lying on a beach or by a pool soaking up the rays. Glad you’re enjoying being with us.

Pigpen – Oh dear hope they haven’t trashed all your hard work.

Triker – well done on the weight loss

    Michelle – take it easy

Valli – I was for ever losing long posts so now do them in words and then paste into reply. I’m a part time flylady too

Holly – Hope your SD finds a way to go on to do her A levels. I think its so good when children want to further their education

Pigpen – hugs for you. Hope DH calms down enough to apologise when he realises it wasn’t your fault – but then if he’s anything like my OH !

Tootifrooti – The why’s of men is brilliant and has been duly copied pasted and forwarded on

Nicki – hope you made the train and that the house is lovely. Fingers crossed for a fresh start for you.

Dusty only a really true friend would show someone how to nit comb their kids hair, you’re a star :A

Right having caught up so far best I go and do a bit of work now. Catch up again later.

Gingergirl sounds like a fab trip you had

Polkadot and jo1972 you make me feel real old (1964)! Seems like I’m not alone, looks like Galadriel’s in my camp. Love the wedding plan story too and it’s a lovely thing you want to do.

Oh pigpen poor you. Get your mother or sister round to clean it up

RebekahR I go tomorrow and as at 4pm Friday I still haven’t done a thing and I have to call in and see my dad on the way home from work as its his birthday tomorrow, and drop a card into ex as its his today. I have washing to do the TD is broken and DD cut the washing line in half !!! And as for us women like to punish ourselves – OF COURSE WE DO WE LIVE WITH MEN

Right home and the TD is working so I might be able to get stuff ready for tomorrow and next week. Why cant I get motivated to go on holiday, all I have done so far is buy a new camera (well OH went and got it so paid as well :rotfl: ) bought loads and loads of chocolate and snacks for the coach and a couple of magazines .

Hope I get on later but will prob be up til 3am
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

I'll have you-I miss mine tons!!!Need one to help with wedding dress in June:)
(keep meaning to tell you all I should really refer to DH as DF. We've been together 8 years and he's still dragging his feet-It just seems so looooong doing the whole "my fiance" thing and then all the explanations that usually come after....even though I love my fairytale it tends to get tiresome sometimes:o

Oh honey that's sweet, you'll have to post loads of pics of dresses and we'll all be your virtual mums and help you choose. Don't think my DD will ever get married so I'll probably never get chance to do it IRL. Hope you can sort out the dates so your dad can come over.

Polkadot I know the feeling - my OH and I have been together for 6 years, and we've been engaged 3 times in the last 5 years! He's been married before, so scared of committment.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/2017

What a lovely thought Galadriel - virtual mums! Mind you - if we're all good flyladies we'll be virtuous mums, too!;)

Evening everyone, haven't been able to remember all i've read on the thread so big big hugs to all who need one.

PIL got back late last night so they where totally shocked about Bo, come up to find he pulls the bar off so the pin was sticking out:mad: , sat up till 4 this morning with him and down to the vets for 9am. Vet couldn't get over him pulling at it so he now has a metal frame. He's been out today and is walking so much better.:j

Mowed the front garden today and 2 hours at the vets, wm and td and washing line full. Plan tonight is to go to a bbq (don't really want to but hubby does) MIL is babysitting (Bo):rotfl: , so i'll be back tomorrow ready to sort this place out.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
    :j :j
