[STRIKE]Morning[/STRIKE]Afternoon All.
Have done nothing again todaybut have gone to the library with DS and DD they told me I owe £10 in late fees. Not happy as I thought the lady had put the books on DS's cards. They were his books. Went to the cafe for lunch and my children just about behaved and now DD is asleep WOOHOO.
Should really go do something but am enjoying a up of tea at the moment.January Grocery 11/3740 -
Sexymouse, Mumoffour77 and Polkadot - you are making me feel old - I am old enough to be your mum !!
I'll have you-I miss mine tons!!!Need one to help with wedding dress in June:)
(keep meaning to tell you all I should really refer to DH as DF. We've been together 8 years and he's still dragging his feet-It just seems so looooong doing the whole "my fiance" thing and then all the explanations that usually come after....even though I love my fairytale it tends to get tiresome sometimes:o0 -
So are we having a June wedding then polka dot? What date? My WA is 3rd June.NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

Hi
I've caught up.
Hugs to Pigpen i hope your feeling better today men can be such horrible pigs sometimes.
Ds2 has gone to sleep. I know i'm going to pay for it later but right now i don't care. He woke up at midnight last night saying his leg hurt i tried to get him to stand up but he wouldn't. He eventually woke up enough to stand up but was limpimg when he walked. I phoned OH but by the time he answered Ds2 was running around my room. I let him sleep in my bed and he fell asleep quite quickly. He then woke up at 2 again saying his leg hurt again, he hadn't fallen or anything so i was really concerned. He eventually went to sleep again after half hour and when he woke up this morning he was fine.
Just to add to the lack of sleep , my stepdaughter left her mobile here yesterday nd her alarm went off at 6:mad: .
So whilst Ds2's asleep do i
Have a nap
Watch Wed bigbrother
Finish my list
Do some more painting?
I cant decide. I won't be going out now.0 -
Julie not really sure yet-quite a bit of a story so I hope youre sitting comfie:) My brother got married in 2001,he was already here and didn't want to upset my dad over not been able to be there for him, so he got married in his jeans in a pub and called my dad two weeks later when he got back from his honeymoion.
My stepsister got married in 2005, she had my dad pay for everything and then be the videographer while her dad walked her down the aisle.
Once I had been safely depositted to my new life with DF in the UK, my dad packed up his house in Jo'burg, signed it over to my stepbrother and his DF and then moved to the North coast to go live his dream of one long safari (he now runs a touring business with a friend of his and they spend their days fishing off the coast and running all the "foreigns" around the game reserve" (oh to live the life ***sigh****)
I hear you asking me to get the point but you need the whole picture:)
So recently we got a save the date card for my stepbrothers wedding-its the 5th of December this year which is high season for my dad...so guess who cant attend the wedding of the boy he called son and beat his biological kids to the ownership of the family home?
He says he is not able to change it as they can't afford to pay for the wedding and her mother has told her if it doesn't happen on that day they won't help pay for it. Also, he is finding he cannot afford to maintain the house and wants to put it on the market:mad:
You start to see the picture now?
So Im not working at the mo but plan to get back by january (hence me trying to get the rest of my life back in order). Basically if I earn the market related salary, then I will be able to pay for our wedding and fly my dad and stepmother over by june julyish-hence "up in the air" right now. If all goes to plan, I may be able to do it sooner as it seems my ex has started paying maintenance semi regularly and the money goes into my dads account so provided he keeps it up they can use that and I can replace it in pounds when they come. (it doesnt make sense to transfer it here yet because of commision)
It also depends on what my dads calender can accomodate as because its summer here, alot of europeans go over there in that time period so it may have to wait till august september when dad is between european clients and local clients.
I know its gotten complicated, but DF's folks are happy for us to wait-although they live in SA most of the rest of the family are in Sheffield so its a case of just flying for them. And I feel very strongly that after raising four of us and all the sacrifices he made for us (we all left the country-and some quit and went back-and it was mostly out of his pocket) that he should occupy a place of pride at at least one of our weddings. Im also grateful it will be mine as I stayed with him the longest and Im pretty sure gave him the most grey hairs:)
Ive had freecyclers in and out of here all day it feels like-but its all taken except the printer now which goes tommorow:j
And Ive done two loads in WM packed away first load and done the beds. The new mattress arrived at 11 and I think the last one they sent us was definately the wrong one.0 -
