Oh sexymouse - engaged 3 times to the same bloke - do spill!;)

1= On holiday in Greece, after going out 1 year, we'd talked about it for ages and had been looking around jewellers there - bought ring in a gold factory. He called his Mum from Greece - she was overthemoon, OH still acting strangely so we talked and although really upsetting, I gave him back the ring and told him to give it to me when he meant it. - This ruined the holiday, cos this was in the middle of a 2 week holiday.

2= He proposed in a hot air balloon (same ring) 6 months later. This engagement was broken off again by me about a year later cos we were going through a rough patch - he never said he loved me unless I said it first, so I asked him about this. He said he does love me, for some reason I then asked "enough to marry me?" and he said no, so that was it! He claimed he still wanted to be together though, so we stayed together.

3=I proposed to him on February 29th using a chocolate plaque from Thornton's on which I'd had iced "Will you marry me?" He said yes, so now we are engaged (still same ring) and hopefully it'll be third time lucky!
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Take a piece of fabric approx 12 inches x the width of your door plus 3 inches.
Fold the fabric in half lengthways right sides together & sew approx half inch from raw edge along one short edge & the long edge, turn the right way out & stuff firmly, I use old tights & tshirts cut up small. Sew up the last seam, I add a red felt tongue as I'm sewing this seam up I then add 2 felt or button eyes just above the tongue.

hester if you make two and join them together with a strip of cloth, strongish, you can slip it under the door so that when you open and close the door the draught excluder goes with it, if you see what i mean
before my os days i bought one from betterware
you join them together all the way down, hope i have explained it okay

Checked the bank accounts whilst sitting here so another job at least done.

M&S have finally dispatched DS1's school troussers so hopefully they will arrive soon.

Going to finish wiping the living room whilst the kids are in the garden then time to run the bath and nit comb the kids.

DS1and2 picked a whole 2 punnets of the sweetest blackberries ever whilst on the golf course - they do have their uses

  • Evening ladies!

I have a chronic attack of the 'go slows' today! Did manage to get DS to his eye clinic appointment and he's now signed off - so can go to a normal opticians annually. Even better - the Doctor he's seen since before he was 2 (he's now 6 and a half) has a clinic in a local opticians so it's someone who knows his history.

Got library books back to mobile library and DH bought me a pair of shoes that I'd been looking at lots with his ebay proceeds from last week! Must be after something!!

Tomorrow's plan is to parcel up the ebay stuff and get it to the post office and then a trip to the tip to recycle some more stuff and a lazy evening at home.

Hugs to everyone in need - I reckon it's definitely wine o'clock here - so I'm off in search of some!

Dusty - thanks for note about the shop - will try there next time and can then pop into SIL's for a coffee!

Only nipped on to see if I had a reply to a reservation and couldnt resist a sneak on here :o .

Sexymouse thats a lovely story - sometimes I think you dont need the wedding bit to be committed to each other. OH and I have been together 11 years and finally got engaged after 5 years when I finally agreed. Havent managed the wedding yet as never enough money altho I told him to arrange a wedding in Gib last year when all my family were in Spain so we could wed somewhere warm. His response was I suppose I'll have to find my decree then - naturally nothing got arranged ad I've gone off the idea again now, cant be done with the hassle :o

Vanilla hope you enjoy tonight you've had a stressful week

    Gotta go again
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Sexymouse-if its meant to be they just cant leave hun.. we've split up at least 4 times. I lived with his best man for a year before we got together, he moved to the uk to get away from me (to his credit he did stay away from me for about 18 months)-I went on the rebound and got pregnant with a loser and now Im in England, with him-After a proposal at Johannesburg international airport where I thought I was going to pick up my brothers dog!!!!
