Sorry Mrs V I missed it - where are you moving from and to? I also went to Africa - Namibia when I was 11 I think....

Ooh bit more exotic than me Sin; we were in Jo'burg. Next week we are moving from S Yorks to NE Scotland, approx 400 miles. Might as well be Africa for all the stress it is causing!

Sunny Aberdeen GandB :D . We lived in Edinburgh recently for almost 2 years but kept the house here so didn't actually 'move' IYKWIM. Been back here for a year and a bit.

This time it's lock, stock and barrel

  • Oh wow! MrsV that's quite a move! Is that cos of work then? I've always fancied living in Scotland - I don't even know why. I'm a Cornish lass..
I can see Edinburgh is great for youngsters GandB but what would you say it's like for bringing up a family? It's all pie in the sky though, hubby won't move even though his ancestors are from the Highlands!

You make Jo'burg sound so dull:eek: (Puts on Sandton kugs accent-very snobby):) Far more exciting than Namibia-at least you get the jungle and the concrete jungle. But yes, Namibia is loads more fun (a few of the girls at boarding school were from there and so we used to share week-ends)(***sighs loudly***) Mrs V you're making me homesick:(

Moving between boroughs within London was WAAAY more stressful to me than leaving Joeys was.

Really just popped in to say I cleaned the toilet:j Really I did-Ive been trying to get the limescale off since we moved in and I just took a knife to the bowl and scraped (YUCK) at one point I called OH to make sure I wasnt taking off something that was keeping it together:rotfl:

Congratulations  That's real progress. Just think, you'll be able to KEEP it clean now :j :j

G&B glad the little one enjoyed her first day
PP at least you now know why she is toe walking and hopefully will get the appointments through soon

Early night for kids as they are driving me mad and due home even later than usual today, I've tidied up from tea so bathtime starts now.
