morning everyone,
I am new to this thread but can see some of you are having a hard time with it all, ((((hugs)))))to you,
My sunday will be spent doing as much washing as the dry weather allows me to do, i am refusing to use the dryer at the moment as it uses so much eletric and i really dont want to be waisting it, i have the avon lady arriving at 12.30 so hopefully i will be doing avon in the very near future along with my msing and the earn £10 a day in august thing means i really need to get some bits photographed for ebay, (my garage is full of baby equiptment dining tabels and general junk from the other house, we downsized nearly 4 months ago and the garage is a scary place right now) my partner and i will have to check the veg in the garden it was planted late so we only have peas at the moment because the 5 foot tomatoes are refusing to produce fruit,
other than that it will be lunch making and looking after the kids, my kids go back to school tuesday (well i say kids only one does it will be her 1st day at school, the others are too young)
ohh yea i need to put laurens name in her uniform aswell before i forget, can you beleive the price of uniforms now days, at least the council said my grant will be in the bank soon, even tho my sister lives in england and said they dont do school grants there. im in scotland and we get them (well when the council pay up we will lol)

Have had to cancel friend as once i was up i felt rubbish again. Called her and luckily she had had a good night's sleep and was feeling much more positive so we have rescheduled for a day in the week.
So today has been reinvented as a duvet day in front of the olympics, with attentive (hahahaha) puss-cat and cups of comforting tea.
And it just started to rain again!
Hugs all round, but especially smoky,
PO xx

Morning all!
Just popped in for a quick Hello as off to an early 30th Birthday party for my brother in a couple of hours and I'm having a birthday cake disaster!
The cake tin had a small dent in the removable base (has only happened since I baked the last cake a fortnight ago and not sure how!) that OH straightened out but cake mix still leaked out of the cake tin into the oven, thought cake wasn't going to bake/rise but it eventually did but it's not as big as hoped and not sure how well it's going to cope with being cut in half and filled! Maybe I'll just ice the top?!
We were meant to be going to Garden Centre this morning but it's been pouring down all morning, my little cats came in this morning looking like drowned rats! :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone!

Morning, OH and started to watch the marathon last night, but after seeing Brendan Foster's smashed crab face when his microphone didn't work and then listening to him moaning about every drinks station we turned off.

Have been watching more sport this morning......we're shattered, rowing, cycling, sailing more rowing....think it's time to go back to bed.
AnnieBL, I now the stove man you mean, they were 'hot pots' or something like that.
Joannasmum, I'm really envious, I've been trying to get OH to have a woodburner stove for ages, he says our chimneys aren't the right sort
think I'm being fobbed off
Hester, I seem to have friends like yours, always a drama. The conversations are so one sided, and support only seems to go one way. Hey ho.
I think a visit to Tesco is required, I need a few basics and I've found a clubcard voucher lurking. Think I will have a check to see if there are any more.
Welcome to the new ones and the returners.
Big hugs to those in need, espcially Smoky, Beth, Candy's dad, Natzini, Master Pixie and those who just feel generally off or grotty.

Afternoon all,
That stove chap invented The HotPod, made from recycled gas canisters. He also makes fire tools from old fire extinguishers
smokey HUGS. Do not worry about being upset, it is still early days. Your bravery is an inspiration to us all.
I am totally sick of sleeping on an airbed. The bed I want is this one, which I can afford, but I didn't really want to pay anymore than that for the bed AND the mattress. Maybe I should ring them up and see 'what deal they can do'
Today I have had a lazee day so far - still in bed. The washing is on the airer, so think I will pop that outside in a minute whilst the rain stays off. Other plans for today are- Clean bathroom
- Thai Chicken Curry
- [STRIKE]Chilli[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Pork and apple casserole[/STRIKE]
- Goulash
- Blanch and freeze veg
- Clean Kitchen (including floor)
- Ironing
Right, better get up and make a start. Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Sorry to read of your loss Kaat-lady, big hugs to you xx
((((((Smokey))))))
Not read today's thread yet, will catch up later.
Yesterday was good here weather-wise, got three loads of washing done and nearly all dried outside. Today done another load plus doing bedding so hopefully that will all dry outside too. We keep having the odd shower but they're very brief. OH got the deck painted yesterday and I hope he'll get our new patio furniture set up. Oops I think he's back from church already and I've not got the kitchen sorted!:o
Was going to type more about walking and blackberries and lunch etc but OH has just informed me that his sister & family are coming in half an hour and the house is a tip :eek: So I'm off!!!!
