Morning All
I've been around for a while but I haven't got round to posting on here yet this morning.
Smokeybabe - huge hugs - you're doing really well - enjoy your garden when it's done - it's just what you need for you and the LO.
Going to make a bread and butter pudding today - just need to find a recipe as I've never made one before.
I've got no idea what we're eating - whatever I can find in the freezer.
Not a lot happening today as you can tell.
Have a good day
Hugs to all

Morning Everyone
(((Hugs))) to everyone especially Smoky. Your doing so well definately get the back garden done.
I am one happy bunny this morning despite having a v grumpy dd. DH has come round to my way of thinking about the choice of stove for the Lounge so I can get it ordered now. Everytime I was going to order over the last few weeks he changed his mind about style. Obviously my choice was the best but also £300 over budget, but its got a 10 year warranty and has good reviews its this one if anybody is interested.
Plans for today are ironing and sorting stuff out for mine and dd trip away to Wales. Were going to in-laws caravan on Tuesday night after work so I need to get organised. Later we will go and see in-laws and proberbly treat them to a take-away.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hi everyone
Not been on here for a while, have been struggling with things since losing a dear friend and my Mums surgery and its repercussions.
Looks lovely out there today, I was meant to go swimming early this morning but I'm in absolute agony and am popping into work tomorrow to make sure my classroom is all sorted so that I can enjoy the last 2 weeks of the holidays without any work worries! So I couldn't risk the pain I might be going through tomorrow as I need to get my room done!
Today we are moving as much as we can out of the bedroom so that OH can prep it for painting (and hopefully start painting it) tomorrow! Hope to get that room and the living room done by next Weds, maybe even start on the kitchen. I hate living here and need to get out-easier said than done I know, but it's no good living in a flat this high up with no lift and Fibromyalgia and ME, is it?!
I've pretty much failed this months GC because I have decided that I need to up my fruit intake. But perhaps this 2 week shop will nearly last 3? I can only hope!
Have a peaceful Sunday all and hugs to those who need them.

Morning everyone :hello:
Smokey.... Moliere said it perfectly. Take care of yourself pet. You have done so well.
Nice to see you back Natzini. I'm sorry you've been struggling. x
Of course we missed you Tired Mum.
Welcome to all the newbies.
JackieO.... I'm the opposite and have done no washing cos the forecast was for rain. The sun is now splitting the skies. Not that I'm complaining.
Pixie... I hope LO is recovered rom the hypo. I know how scary they can be.
Troo, enjoy your day of peace. Can you make soup or pasta sauce with the toms and then freeze it in a couple of days when you have room?
Quiet morning so far. OH is sleeping off a (thankfully rare) rather heavy night  The girls are on the other computer and none of us are dressed.
Oh went foraging yesterday and got done lovely wild mushrooms so instead of a roast I'm doing a beef and wild mushroom pie with mash and cabbage.
Hope to spend some time in the garden as MIL donated some plants to me and I need to find homes for them.
If the weather holds I will get the girls down to the beach. I can't believe they go back to school in 3 days. ****torn between inserting sad or jumping for joy smilie****
Nothing else to report. Have lovely days everyone.

Beth - poor you, rest those hands, I'm not surprised they ache after all your polishing! Hope things improve for your brothers as well.
Kaat - so sorry to hear about Archie, lots of hugs to you both xx
Smokey - the garden sounds like it's going to be lovely and it'll be great when the children can play out in it. Don't worry too much about the tax credits, they are usually really really helpful if you phone them up, and if you look closely on the overpayment slip that they send it does say you can spread the repayments over 12 months, that's if you actually need to make any.
Sybil - hope you get your oil burner sorted out, they had some in poundland the other day and I thought of you!
Well good morning all! The sun is shining and it seems much warmer today.
Not much planned for today, except getting some blackberries for the jam I want to make, and phoning my friend so I can go and raid her apple trees! They have loads and loads and her oh doesn't like apples, lol!
dd3 is being a total pain at the moment, she is throwing tantrums constantly, whining and keeps talking in a silly baby voice! She is driving me mad! She's also driving the other 3 dotty and is getting short sharp shrift from them, hopefully she'll buck up soon.
Just been making a menu plan, asked oh if there was anything he wanted put on there and his helpful suggestion was something with meat and veg! That'll be anything then! Anyway today's lunch will be dependent on how the jam making goes, hopefully something roast, but poss something quick, tonight's tea will be burgers for the kids with hm wedges and buns and salad.
Had a good browse through the Good Housekeeping book of preserves, and feeling very inspired to make almost everything in there, going to give lime pickle and mango chutney a go, as these get eaten a lot here. Think the only other thing I've done this morning is brekkie and putting on bm and wm, dw needs doing, will set the girls on it in a bit!
Have had an excellent piece of news, bil and his wife are expecting their first baby! They have been trying for ages and had just started down the road of assorted tests to find out why nothing had happened, so it is lovely for them!
I hope everyone has a good day xx

Morning all, ( just )
Nice day here, but I have no washing on the go as we went to the party last night and we had a very late night, and I am suffering a bit this morning
.
DD's friend has just gone, she is such a lovely girl very polite, she can come again
.
We were going to be having roast chicken today, but I have just realised its still in the freezer  , so I think it will be quiche, jackets and salad.
Going to have an easy day today, will potter in the garden, have an early dinner and veg out.
Candy, your poor aunt, how can a broken spine go undiagnosed
, and how can they say there is no funding  , hugs to your dad too. xx
Beth you must try to rest a bit, hugs.
Smoky, I just wanted to send hugs, you are doing so well, and are bound to have these ups and downs, as kathy said I wish we could all come and help you xxx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all,
I have just slept for 12 hours
and only just got out of bed, so I'm not dressed yet.

Lots happening on the thread today. Sorry I can't mention everyone but I have read all the posts.
Smoky you are coping so well, don't feel bad if you have a couple of "off" days. Jackie O's bereavement metaphor put it so well. As for the tax credits office - - I hope you get it all sorted.
Betheebee will be trying your recipe today as I have about half a ton of carrots in the freezer that are taking up badly needed space. Glad to hear one of your DBs is doing well. Sorry to hear the other isn't. ((hugs)) Take it easy today - give your arms a rest.
troo loved the Guinea Pigs Olympics - my favourites are the boxing and table tennis.
As for the "Year of Troo" - :T :T :T I'm doing something similar. I have joined the gym and try to get there most days (not today because I've been a lazy mare
). As well as that, I have signed up to do an Arts course that will count towards an Open University degree that I started years ago and want to finish. And I'm also toying with idea of taking singing or piano lessons but am worried that I will be overstretching myself so that one is sitting on the backburner at the moment.
wmf lucky you, "meeting" Ian Rankin. I love his Rebus books and have almost all of them. Well done to your DS too for the excellent review of his play. You are quite right to feel so proud. :T
tired mum Glad to see you back amongst us. Don't feel too down about the jobs - the right one is out there somewhere and you wouldn't be able to take it if you had one of the "wrong" ones, IYSWIM.
joannasum love the stove. Did you ever see the programme that was on BBC2 a year or two ago about trying to repay your mortgage in two years? I remember that one couple managed to do that and it was down to the husband making stoves - each one was different from the last. Doesn't have any relevance here, I know, but every time I see stoves I think of that man.
natzini (((hugs))) to you. Hope you feel better soon.
mummysaver Congratulations to your DBIL and wife.
DS and DD come home tonight so all my hard work of the last week will be undone in about 15 minutes. Oh well, I'm sure I would miss them terribly if they were gone permanently.
Looks like it is going to be a day for cooking and baking so I suppose I should get dressed now. Have a Sunny Sunday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
