The Link's literature recommends that you send your claim via recorded delivery as "proof of posting cannot be taken as proof of delivery". Therefore I think you would have a strong case that they ought to honour your claim - otherwise there's no point in their suggesting that you use recorded delivery.

I am not greatly impressed with RM's performance either - I sent my claim in via recorded delivery, with 3 working days to spare before the deadline (would have sent earlier but miscalculated on the date). It arrived a day after the deadline

Fortunately, The Link still sent me my cheque. But I was very unimpressed with Royal Mail taking 4 working days to deliver a first class recorded delivery. I posted in central London at lunchtime, right next to the sorting office, so there's no excuse!! About to post my second claim now, well in advance of deadline!
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...
  • I got my second cashback today.

And three have also rang trying to get me to upgrade, but the offer were rubbish. So i will wait a week or so and then ask to speak to retentions.

But on another note https://www.quidco.com are doing £75 cashback for all new 3 contract until end of sept. If you sign up online you can also do the refer a friend scheme where you and a "friend" on 3 both get £30 credit.

    regards

    Andy
  • The three offers will never be as good as a new cashback offer - especially if you go through Quidco ! They tried to offer me half price line rental for 18 months (or a year) and a new phone - why would I want to take that when I can get it for free ?
    To infinity and beyond!

Because there is no hassle claiming cashback.

    Contract cost 18 x £15 = £270
    Less refer a friend £30
    Less Quidco £75

    Total payable - £165 (£9.16 p/m) plus your "friend" also gets £30.

And for some people that will seem better than having to claim cashback.

Because for those who forget to claim the last cashback which is not until MAY next year the contract will have cost them £105 / 12 (£8.75 per month)
  • You still get the quidco and presumably the refer a friend with a cashback offer so the difference is still £270 - quite a lot of money just to post some letters !

You can only get the £75 cashback(Via Quidco) the refer a friend if you sign up directly with 3.

So the difference is the quidco cashback (if the website has links to quidco) plus the difference in the contract cost.

I was only saying because a lot of people are getting fed up, with all the T&C linked to cashback.
  • Yes - you are quite right - I got £35 from Quidco through my retailer.

    Thanks

    HTH.

    Hi friends,

I received my 2nd cashback cheque of £105 after I sent off my 9th n 10th month bills(July & Aug Bills) . My first bill was also on 16th Nov.

My question is that now my 11th and 12th month bills would be Sept n Oct and not Oct n Nov 2006 as suggested bu lkoky.

    Could anybody clearify please.
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

I think its the September and October bills you need. No harm in keeping them all though. I will call them at some point to clarify.
