    Hi Babyhead,

Thanks for dropping in - we're all friends here. PLease don't feel you have to lurk - pull up a beanbag and help yourself to a french fancy!!!

Yes, it is a shame about my OH but life goes on. I miss him and his company but there are advantages to being single again.

PS Love the rat story. Your OH needs taking down a peg or two!!!

Hi Babyhead - I also loved the rat story and agree with Strumps that your OH needs taking down a peg or two.

So Strumps how are you today? The weather is great here - I did venture out this morning to put £15 Mystery Shop money into my business bank account (its what pays my insurance each month). I was hoping for an NSD today but no such luck and have had to spend £132 on 500 leaflets that are needed for this weekend:rolleyes:

I am being a busy bee - with charity cricket matches to organise, to posh events in stately homes and helping to fundraise for a charity this weekend hence the sudden need for 500 full colour glossy leaflets:D

Oh and I have discovered another use for cinnamon - sprinkle it by your kitchen door to stop ants from coming in, ants hate cinnamon.

    Hello All,

The weather is lovely here too.

Horace - thanks for the cinnamon tip - I found 2 ants in the kitchen yesterday but they weren't near each other - I'm just hoping it was a coincidence. We do suffer from them though.

Strumpet - how are things today?

Well sorry for not being in touch sooner but EVERYBODY has been off today. I have been in work all by myself practically! Both Reps and the MD were out visiting customers, my assistant is in Spain and the Production Manager is off too, so I am spinning everyone else's plates as well as my own!

Made a big decision today - Gotta get my gym body back then the boyz will come a flockin'!!!

ExOH phoned last night to see if I was OK. We had a long chat and we're still friends. I tild him that he behaved like a sh*t and he took it quite well, agreeing with my version of events!!! Anyway, we ended up laughing about it so I suppose that's good therapy, silly muppet that he is. I might not be available if he decides to come a knocking inthe future - his bridges might just be burnt!

Anyway, ringing a peal tonight at Blackburn Cathedral which will be uncomfortable inthis heat, i'm sure. And the methods we are ringing are quite taxing so there'll be steam coming out of my ears!!!

HAD to go out and buy tubs of ice cream yesterday so the grocery spend went up a bit. I will have to be careful next Monday, although I have a £6 Clubcard voucher to use so that might just cover the splurge. And it was hot!!!!

My friend Hugh, has invited me to visit him in Hong Kong in the Autumn - all expenses paid except for the flights. Can I afford to pass this up? Checking on the websites for cheap flights, it might cost me about £600.

Still waiting to see if OH remembered to cancel his housekeeping Standing Order!!!

I wouldn't put it past him to pay one extra month in compensation for his dubious exit strategy. He's like that!

If exOH sends you some extra housekeeping money keep it to oneside and use that as a basis to start saving for your trip to Hong Kong - you have to go:D Glad that you and he had a chat and that you remain friends at least that's one consolation.

A tip with the icecream Strumps - get it in Lidl its cheaper - you can get a box of cornetto (their own version) 6 in a box for £1 and when they have it their Marscapone & Pistachio ice cream is to die for:cool:

It might not be so hot in that belfry tonight because the weather has changed and is several degrees cooler than it was first thing this morning.

Keep up the gym work and maybe do a bit of pilates too (I have heard that is good for toning the tummy muscles) - soon your bod will be lean, hard and sexy:o - you will be beating the chaps off with sticks:rotfl:

    Have fun..speak soon

I had an NSD yesterday which was a complete surprise.
We lost the peal at Blackburn but the tower captain said we didn't have to pay anything and then in the pub, I was bought a drink. so I spent nothing.

    So that's 1/8 for June!

Peal tonight too. Gotta keep busy - no moping allowed!

    Well done on the NSD:T

I would have had an NSD today but I needed some mints so was forced to buy some at the corner shop:rolleyes: Had a stupendous day today and came home from an event with the best goodie bag ever - I chose a red cooler bag with white spots (my chum chose a blue one with strawberries on it - the other colour choice was pink:eek:). I now know what I am having for tea tonight - sausages because inside the goodie bag was a pack of sausages (about half a pound), a packet of posh biscuits, a square of chocolate, a bottle of salad dressing, an insulated mug, a trolley token, a ruler with a handy calculator in it, a book about Edward Elgar, a toy car, a golf ball, a lovely boxed Worcester Warriors keyring, some conference bumpf and a thing that looks like a button but I have a feeling its a kids top but it has no use whatsoever that I can see. I received another insulated mug from a lovely pub (it used to be one of my haunts) - I was invited there for a free lunch:j

I took my mate with me as she has been a bit down lately and the jammy mare won a night in a 4 star hotel for 2 people (DB&B) - muggins won nowt:rolleyes: Still we had a nice lunch and the raffle was free and I had a manicure as well whilst my chum had a massage. We also played Texas Hold Em Poker which was great fun and I would definitely book them for an event. I have also been invited to a local cookery school to have a look round - might treat myself to a day there as its £175 plus VAT for a day which doesnt seem so expensive.

If only you lived closer Strumps and you could come to some of these things with me:cool:

No NSDS yet for me I'm afraid. I'm in the process of re-vamping my money situation though - buying and selling a few premium bonds, looking at my savings and re-arranging the money owed on credit cards. When the dust settles I will update my siggy.

Strumps - you just HAVE to go to Hong Kong. DH and I went for our honeymoon 15 years ago. It was absolutely fab. The shopping, the street markets what can I say? The food is nothing like our English Chinese food though - its very wishy washy - in fact looks like bits floating in dirty water:eek: And the smell - it was the first thing we noticed when we landed - phew:D I spent an absolute fortune on that trip - I still have two very large fans adorning my bedroom wall, and also we had our names written in Chinese script. I am jealous - I would go again immediately if given the opportunity.:D

Glad you have made some kind of peace with OH.

My diet has gone slightly haywire today - its the hot weather and I can't resist ice cream! Just went out to vote and ended up buying a lolly on the way round.
