Well this is it, my friends......it's about time I got my own diary and stopped hijacking everyone else's, so I have taken the plunge and here it is:
About Strumpet....
My real name (when not being Strumpet) is Simon and I am 36 years old. I was born in the Lake District but now live in a little terraced house in Nelson, which is 4 miles from Burnley, in the glorious county of Lancashire, with my lodger who is also called Simon. Confused yet??? All my friends call me Spot (and have done for 20 years). Lodger Simon is about to move out as he has got a new job in Bradford and it's too far / difficult to commute. However, this suits me fine, because we had joint food finances and he eats like a rugby team so I am looking forward to living on my own again (although his rent will be missed).
My partner will be moving in around the end of October and he will contribute to the household expenses so that will be great. I can't wait. We've been together for 7 years and he looks after me and keeps me safe.
I work as a financial manager for a little company in Blackburn and I love my job. As well as being paid, I have a company car - a Peugeot 207CC and work pays for me to go to college to study for my CIMA qualification. In fact, I don't think of it as a job really - it's just somewhere I go during the week and someone (well me actually as I do the payroll:rotfl: ) gives me money every month to go there!!! My assistant Carol and I are fervent MSErs and always looking for ways to make extra cash.
I currently have a little bit of debt because I bought some furniture for my house (OH bought some for me too, bless him) and I also bought my grandfather clock off ebay for £275. The seller had had this clock in his shop with a price tag of £1395, which he slashed to £599. Then I got it for £275 - an absolute steal. I have wanted one since I was 10 so a dream fulfilled and very cheaply too:D
!
I bought my house last June - just got in before the mortgage / credit disaster. Got 6.09% fixed for 5 years with Northern Rock:eek: but hopefully their problems will have sorted themselves by the time I come to renegotiate. Still the power of the pink pound helps - no kids to drain my resources. I had to get the mortgage out over 35 years:eek: in order to make it affordable but I hope to be able to slash the term by a) renegotiating at the end of 5 year period...b) overpaying like mad!
My goals are to clear my little bit of debt which is mainly in overdraft form - I dip into red each month just before I get paid. I also need to pay £200 into my ISA as part of my Stooze so that when my Halifax CC (0% on purchases) requires repaying, I have the funds to do it. I will make about £180 in interest from having stoozed this money.
So that's a little about me.
Sooner or later, I will post an SOA so you can all have a laugh! Please don't be strangers - come on in and chew the fat.

The loans will pay themselves the credit cards need a kicking :money: DFW Long haulers supporter 132!!:T0 -
Strumpet you've been hanging round Hypnos diary for long enough to know that a list starts with Eat Chocolate
:rotfl: I'm looking forward to your adventures. I'm always telling DS2 that I wish he was gay and would look after me when I'm old. He's currently refusing and calling me a fag hag, but if it IS the mothers fault then I WILL win. :rotfl:0 -
Hi Stumpet
I am looking forward to reading your diary and perhaps contributing with inane comments - wish you lived closer because you could come and clean my flat which looks like a tornado has ripped through it:eek:
I am wondering what ironing is? I have an ironing board and an iron but they are not used - well the ironing board is doubling up as a shelf at the mo:rolleyes: Get creases out by using fabric softener and running the washing machine on an extra spin, line dry and then carefully fold items to avoid creasing.
If you are like any other of my gay friends you will have tons of disposable income to waste on food - one couple that I know spend £200 a week on food which they then chuck out:mad: how wasteful is that? Still, its their money to do with as they will.
You say that you will miss the rent from your lodger - perhaps your OH can contribute to the rent or you could still rent out the spare room? Just do it for professionals during the week and they can go home at weekends.
Enjoy the bell ringing.
Ciao

Can I confess to liking cleaning a bathroom?
It's one of the few jobs I do like, and I'll swap it if someone would come and weed my veg patch?0 -
Strumpet you've been hanging round Hypnos diary for long enough to know that a list starts with Eat Chocolate
:rotfl: :rotfl: The list would have to start with BUY CHOCOLATE!!!
I'm clean out of it. My OH is an absolute pig when it comes to chocolate.
He buys me the biggest Easter Egg every year........and then eats most of it himself. He says it makes him feel closer to me - I call it GREED!!!:rotfl:
