    Hi Stumpet

You say that you will miss the rent from your lodger - perhaps your OH can contribute to the rent or you could still rent out the spare room? Just do it for professionals during the week and they can go home at weekends.

    Welcome Horace,

OH has already said he's going to contribute. He's also promised me a new kitchen next year when his bonus comes through. :T God I love him so much!!!!!

    Can't think why!

Can I confess to liking cleaning a bathroom?

It's one of the few jobs I do like, and I'll swap it if someone would come and weed my veg patch?

    Weed my veg patch
is that a euphemism??? :rotfl: :rotfl:

OH likes cleaning bathrooms so it's not to abnormal Mrs Oyl!
    I cook - he cleans!
It works well as both of us dislike the other job.
    A match made!

Popeye usually does the macho things in our house (we're quite [STRIKE]traditional [/STRIKE] old fashioned really) but he's working abroad at the mo.

I'm currently listing car brochures on e-bay, and one for a 1975 Volvo has the phrase:
"Estate, with its new rack and pinion steering is easy for a woman to handle but it may take a man to load":rotfl: :rotfl:

You're too young to remember the 70's but it *really* was like that :rotfl: When I started at Barclays the women got an extra half days holiday each year to do their Christmas shopping :rotfl: (The men just got more money for the same work  )

Hi Strumpet! I read your worry on Hypno's diary about being a no-mates but look - you've got 19 friends already.

I look forward to reading your diary. As a former bellringer (we used to get £1.50 for weddings) and choirgirl, your tasklist gave me a nostalgic pang. I love choral music - especially evensong - but seldom sample the joys these days. My dad is still a bellringer so if you ever fancy a tour of the Towers of East Surrey, just let us know. He is pretty dedicted and has rung in Canterbury Cathedral and such places.
