I did the WW thing a while back - all that counting of points was actually good fun!
My friend Vanda used to be very large indeed and she went on WW points thing and REALLY stuck to it. She lost so much weight, WW offered her a job and now she goes round promoting WW and visiting meetings etc as living proof so to speak.
Ahe said that you still need to eat healthily even though you can technically eat what you want within your points target.
In other words, eating only a McDonalds Yorkie McFlurry every day, while being within your points allocation, will not be as good for you as a balanced healthy diet.
But you know that anyway don't you Mrs P!NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Well, I've been very good today dietwise:
breakfast was 2 wheetaix and skimmed milk
lunch was a home made 2oz (showing my age here but I still operate in "old money") bread roll, tomato, cucumber, WW tin of tuna and mayo and 2 satsumas.
Snacks were 2 mugs of hot choclate
Dinner was 10 oz jacket spud with 4 oz of mince mixture (mince bulked out with loads of veggies). I resisted having cheese on top.
Supper tonight is a WW mint chocolate Sundae. (which I'll have watching the Apprentice):D
I still have 2 points left which I can use or can save up for another day.:T:T
MSE wise:
No NSD as had to fork out some money for a work colleague's birthday:mad:
Other news:
went to the dentist for a check up - need to go back in June for a chat about what to do with my teeth   Methinks I may have to break out the CC after my chat with him.
How have you done today dietwise Strumpet?
Horace - your spending spree sounds fab.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -

I am here MrsP - I had internet problems yesterday:rolleyes: Plus I was out at the spa as I needed to have a few treatments before I go to this wedding dinner tomorrow. I needed to be rid of gordon brown's eyebrows:eek: my underarms were a bit like hairy mary so they had to go, I had a full body exfoliation which as absolutely divine and they gave me a free 15 minutes wrapped up in the dry floatation tank which was kind of wierd but nice - 15 minutes is equivalent to 4 hours sleep:cool: Had some lunch there - for the first time ever I had three courses but they have a new chef and her food is more exciting. Asparagus with Parma Ham and a Strawberry & Black Pepper Vinegrette, jacket spud (no butter) with cheese and red onion plus side salad and a decadent chocolate cake (warm) with choc sauce, fresh stawberries and creme fraiche. Now the chocolate cake was yummy and tasted fattening but it wasnt:j Oh and I had a glass of iced water to drink too.
It shows how long since I last went to the spa - they have voucher books (some vouchers have now expired:mad:) where I can have more money off things and freebies so in July if me and a friend each book a 90 minute treatment together then we get free afternoon tea and cakes.
Today, I am catching up with business things and had to tell a fib to a friend - she ruined my day yesterday by bombarding me with texts:mad: I said that I was going to be out all day and wouldnt be able to go to something at a school tonight (I want to stay in and watch the finale of NCIS).
Got my job grant out of the jobcentre too - a cool £100 which I shall put in my business account today, and they gave me an additional £9.19 JSA (I think that paid for lunch yesterday).0 -
Horace - sounds like you had a fab. time. I'm hoping to go to Bath with my friend in early December (that's the holiday I'm saving for in my siggy but the date has changed). We are going to spend some time at the thermaespa - its a new spa complex using the actual Bath spa waters (I believe).
I'm pleased to report that I'm still managing to stick to the diet!
Looking forward to the weekend.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
What's happened to Strumps?
Have a fab weekend MrsP:D0 -
Strumpet is here lurking but he's not very well so not participating much.
Had to drag myself into work today as the P60s need doing before the deadline tomorrow and I need to run a payroll for May.
I have my exam on Thursday and jut my look to get a stinking cold over the weekend - as if this week was not going to be hard enough?!
Glad your diets are going OK.
Mine is not.NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Poor Strumps - get some vitamin C down your neck:grouphug:
My diet is none existent. Had a bad spend at the weekend - I was half asleep when I ended up paying £4.50 for 5 large fruity teacakes (which are now stale:mad:). Went to car dealership and they said that they would give me £2250 towards a new car but when they called me today they turned round and said that they couldnt do that deal for the top of the range Yaris (it has stop start and is very economical) - I have told them that I will be looking at other cars such as Honda and Alfa Romeo seeing as they are being silly:rolleyes: Not that I am planning to change just yet but the thought of road tax at £35 is rather appealling.:D
Did the wedding dinner and had to sit next to a woman who had invited herself and she smelt not of youth dew but cats and wee (she is incontinent and she doesnt care:eek:) I am wondering if my mate Ali but us together as a joke:eek: Didnt do much yesterday - was very sleepy so slept.
Had to laugh on Saturday as the ex rang me to say that he was woken up by firemen who caught him naked (lucky him) as the silly man had managed to set fire to his flat - seems that he came home from the pub on Friday night (he told me Thursday but he tells lies) put some burgers on the grill and went to bed - hence one fire in the kitchen:rolleyes: He had the nerve yesterday to ask me to buy him a new cooker (he has £30K in the bank) and then tried to invite himself to stay so I pointed him in the direction of his father as his flat is free at the mo and it has a working cooker. I gave him a lecture and then had the nerve to say that his mother would be spinning in her grave if she could see him now - the mere mention of mummy dearest got him listening.
Hope you feel better Strumps - get yourself some chicken soup and vitamin C. Good luck for the exam on Thursday:D0
