Devon was very warm and sunny and I had a great time.
Not happy to be back though - in fact I'm downright miserable and I went to the docs today and she said I am suffering from stress over my exams and stuff. I know this is true as I was sat on the sofa thios morning at ten to three crying my head off with OH trying to console me and get me to go back to bed.
I am not good but I don't really know why. Had blood tests to see if it's a hormonal thing which as you know, I am susceptible to.
We await the findings!NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

:grouphug: stop stressing - what will be, will be. As for being hormonal - we call get like that:rolleyes: Seriously though Strumps it sounds to me as though you need some 'me' time - see if OH can treat you to a spa day or something where you can be pampered and be made to feel special (it works for me everytime - trouble is I have to pay for treatments and membership:rolleyes:).
Things are not too bad in the Horace household - still poor, still a struggling entrepreneur but I am alive and my landlord is going to renew my lease for another year because I am his best tenant:j I rang him today as my lease runs out in August and I wanted to know if I needed to start looking for somewhere but he said that I could stay for 12 months which will give me time to use up my business cards and find a new place to live:cool: I need a house or one of those nice cedar wood bungalows on the Austin Estate (little wooden homes built by Sir Herbert Austin for his workers) - the factory may have gone but the houses are still there:j
Not much to report really - I have been getting up to mischief as usual and tonight I am going out for some free exercise - delivering leaflets for the local conservatives (I could hardly refuse as the meeting point is opposite my flat).:D - it beats going to the gym as letterboxes are always at different heights:rolleyes:
Glad you had a nice time away though Strumps.0 -
Hi Strumps - its nice to have you back. Sorry you are feeling a bit down, as Horace said we all go through it at one time or another, but its very difficult when it is your turn! I do hope that you will feel a lot better soon.
Regarding my spends, the good news is that today was an NSD. If only I could have more of those!
Tonight I have made some oatmeal, raisin and choc chip cookies. Not very good for the waistline, but they make a nice addition to the packed lunches. It is a recipe that I found in the red nose cookbook by Jamie Oliver that I got from Sainsbogs a while ago. I have used that recipe so often now I almost know if off by heart - the cookies are lovely and knock shop bought ones into a cocked hat!
I've also made some dough in the BM tonight and that is now rising ready to go in the oven and become bread rolls for tomorrow's packed lunches.
I've been a very busy Mrs. P tonight haven't I?
I've also listed 4 more items on Ebay - total now listed 47 - with a total of £17 worth of bids so far - fingers crossed it goes up a bit more.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
MrsP you have been busy and well done on the NSD as well.
Today wasnt an NSD for me - I had to buy milk and then I was tempted by the whoopsie shelf in the corner shop and came out with 36 half price jaffa cakes, 2 half price creme eggs and a BOGOF on Reeces Nutalicious bars - I got the milk too:D
Had business spends in the form of an album to keep my business cards in (seeing as when I was made redundant Sour Kraut pinched my personal one that I had taken with me:mad:) and some index cards.
Did the leafletting tonight which was good but strenuous - all up hill:rolleyes: and at one house there was a mad dog at the door - so I gave it something to chew on (the leaflet I was putting through the letterbox). I have been invited to another leafletting session on Saturday morning and I will get a free lunch:cool:
Today has been a day for form filling (I hate forms - I can't see the ruddy things:rolleyes:).0 -
You're all such good mates and thanks for your support.
I am feeling a little more upbeat this morning although OH dropped into conversation that he was away in Scotland this evening - he hadn't told me and was very contrite! No matter. I know I will feel much better in 2 weeks when my exam is behind me. I haven't fully decided whether I am actually going to sit it as I am not prepared. This is the focal point for my anxiety and stress. Usually, I can get through it bit this time round I have really struggled to get any motivation towards doing the study. The subject matter is banal and tedious - it's all essay stuff and no numbers which I love. So I always struggle with examinations in this section of the qualification.
On the plus side of things, I had blood tests yesterday to see if I am getting enough testosterone through my gels. I don't want to self medicate, because the dangers of having too much T is prostate cancer apparently and as we all know, I am susceptible enough to the big C without any help from a T overdose! Likewise, if I don't get enough, I can get osteoporosis as well as mood swings and a feeling of stress and being unable to cope. Within a couple of weeks I should be aware of where I am standing with it.
Actually, OH being away might be a good thing this evening as it will allow me a little time to myself which is probably what I need right now. Just a bit of time to think straight!
Glad your accommodation is sorted for the foreseeable H. And well done on the NSD Mrs P!
Never mind NSD - I feel like I'm having an LSD!!! LOL

Hey Strumps - I'll swap with you, I am still struggling with these wretched assignments, they are soooo boring, I am just thankful that I don't have to do exams because I can sit in an exam know everything and my mind goes completely blank:eek: so despite having the brains to go to University my exams were a bit of a washout, I even got bored halfway through A levels and dropped out and took myself off to college instead to do a secretarial course:rolleyes:
Your OH certainly gads about - it must be fab travelling here there and everywhere:D
Anyway, I must send you this coffee sample - it will put hairs on your chest:eek: well it has to do something as its called Hurricane Espresso:eek:
Your despondency has been passed to me so its my turn today - I have no idea what is wrong with me, I havent slept properly for the last two nights, yesterday the leafletting wiped me out but I still couldnt sleep and I am not eating properly either:rolleyes: maybe I am a touch depressed I don't know:rolleyes: I'll be alright though so don't worry about me - I think its PMT:eek:
As for your exam, maybe its best to do it now rather than have it hang around to stress you out even more? but really only you can decide.0 -
Big hugs to you both.:grouphug: I'm in the middle Horace is to my right and Strumps to my left!Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Tell you what Mrs P if I was up to driving, I would go up there and give Strumps a facial complete with massage and I would promise not to steal his best chocolates that he hides in the sideboard:rotfl:
I will be OK MrsP - its just lack of sleep, I will have a bath tonight and use some original source lavender bathfoam..that will see me off to sleep:D0 -
Well I'm going to have myself a right old pampering night this evening when I get back from ringing. OH is away and the house is mine so I shall catch up on some telly and have a nice long shower (bath leaks at the moment and needs fixing - another cause of stress!)
He's also away until late tomorrow evening so I can have a free evening tomorrow.NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Ohhh I'm jealous of you both - I could do with a pampering session myself - its not easy with a DS and DH around I can tell you!!!
Tonight I'm listing 5 more items on Ebay - packing up more things to post tomorrow, cooking tea, making pakced lunches for tomorrow, tidying up and after all that flopping in front of the TV!Debt free and Keeping on Track0
