Hi Strumps
I may just PM you for your phone number:D You can have mine.
MrsP - I havent heard from the TV company so I am thinking that they want some one with blond hair, blue eyes, and big boobies none of which I have:rolleyes: Did get a call yesterday about a product launch so my contact is meeting the client on Friday and will call me next week - I would love to do it, it will involve royalty, charities, film stars and celebs:cool: Fingers crossed I gel with the client. Life is going to be really exciting this year.
I have met my ex a few times now - he came around today for a mug of tea before he went off to drive buses. We got to talking about old times and why I never had kids so I had to say that the bloke I would have had them with dumped me - it then dawned on him that I was talking about him and he felt sorry about it but that's life, I am happy with my life and my friends wherever they may be.:D I guess it was kinda mean telling him now that I would have had his kids.
Amsterdam is a wonderful place - maybe OH will nip to the diamond quarter and bring you back some diamonds Strumps? I bought diamonds there and carried them home in my pocket and took them to the jewellers to be made up into earrings. The Heineken Museum is good too and you get to drink free beer:cool: I did venture into the red light district too - not to gaze at the windows but to visit the oldest coffee shop in Amsterdam which is in the heart of the district, I remember buying a kilo of coffee beans there:cool:
Look after yourself Strumps and get yourself fit before you head off to the gym because you will only do yourself a mischief:eek:0 -
I'm quite capable of doing myself a mischief in the gym irrespective of whether I'm fit or unwell. I'm a little unhappy with Strumps just now - he's not looking after himself as well as he ought to be and this is resulting in him being under the weather and lacking energy. He's not eating properly and has no structure to his day. He ought to try to get up at the same time each weekday morning instead of rolling out of bed with 10 minutes to get ready and out of the house.
If Strumpet set his alarm at 7am and got up straight away, he could have a leisurely shower, remember to put on his Testogel ointment, have a decent breakfast, make up some meals for the rest of the day, therefore allowing him to eat little and often, to help with the weight issue, pack his gym stuff for after work, have a nice cup of coffee to start the day and then set off for work at 08:15 and be in the office before 9am having had no rush and worry about being late.
But no! Instead, Strumps lounges in the bed til 8am, then flies through the shower, misses coffee, misses breakfast, makes no lunch, forgets gym stuff and leaves the house at 08:30, drives to work in a rush and arrives at 09:05 in a state of panic.

Why can I not be the Strumps in the first paragraph?
You can be the Strumps in the first paragraph but don't beat yourself up as you have been ill.
The key to getting up early is to go to bed a little earlier. Put the alarm clock on the otherside of the room so you have to get up to switch it off (I used to have to be in work for 7.30am so would set the alarm for 6, I also love my bed so it worked for me as I had to get up and switch off the wretched thing). Once you are up, you are up.
Keep a fruit bowl on your desk and stock it up at the beginning of the week - that way you can eat healthily throughout the day. Why not prepare food the night before? Eat cereal when you get to work rather than when you get out of bed.
HTH and stop beating yourself up - you have lost your routine a little because a) you have been ill and b) because OH has moved in.
Ciao

H - you are so right and just hearing you say it has given me a new impetus to get moving.

Hi Strumpet - I'm a bit like you I get up at the last possible minute, but because I have to get DS up means I can't lie in:D I prepare all the packed lunches the night before, I layout my clothes ready at the foot of the bed and I have a bath or shower the night before. I get up at 7am, have a quick splash at the washbasin, throw me clothes on, brush hair and put my face on (very minimal make up - although I should really apply at least 6 layers):D When I get down to the kitchen DH has very kindly put one wheetabix in my bowl and 3 in DS'. Have my breakfast (again only because of DS), have my morning cuppa, put the packed lunches into the bags and I'm ready to roll at 7.45.
After dinner the night before I always do the packed lunches straight away and I also take out of the freezer or do any prepping for the meal the following night.
I sound quite anal don't I?
I think you just need to work out a new routine as Horace says things have changed when OH moved in. Also as he has been away and you've been ill I expect you are down in the dumps as you are missing him.
Let us know how you get on tomorrow morning.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
You're not anal MrsP - just organised:D
Strumps is feeling low and needs building up a bit so maybe some vitamins and even a daily zinc tablet will help?No need to go to the gym either for a while he needs to make sure he is fully fit before he ventures in there.
Hope you're feeling better today Strumps?

Thanks both of you. I have taken on board all that you have said and I have promised myself to do the following:
As on Monday 16th March 2009, I will:
1. Set my alarm clock for 7am and get out of bed the minute it goes off.
2. Make a cup of tea and use the time to prepare something nice for lunch.
3. Get a nice leisurely shower to wake up properly, remembering to apply my Testogel sachet - my moods are seriously affected if I forget to do this! I am going to buy myself some posh toiletries to make me feel pampered and loved. I know OH loves me more than anything but I really need to get back to loving myself as much as he loves me!
4. Have a decent (possibly cooked) breakfast to set me up properly for the day.
5. Get dressed, having sorted out the clothes I am going to wear, the night before.
6. Set off for work by 08:15 to ensure I get ther on time without having to rush or get stressed at all the other divvies on the road.
Evenings:
Cook a decent meal for me and OH with lots of fish, chicken & veg to get a good selection of protein and vitamins.
Take stuff out of the freezer for tomorrow's meal.
Wash up rather than leave it til the following morning.
Make time for me to do relaxing things like read or listen to music. Mum's just given me an awesome jigsaw to do which took her nearly a month to do and she's seriously good at jiigsaws!
Snuggle up on sofa with OH.
Get an early night and a good night's sleep!
Wish me luck!!!

Oh Strumpet - sounds wonderful - especially your evenings.
I thought of you the minute I woke up this morning.:rotfl:
My DH is feeling very down at the moment- I am sure it is something to do with the weather as well. It is getting slightly lighter in the evenings now which does help.
Hope you have a good weekend (and you too Horace).Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Thanks MrsP - I might be going to meet a friend at the NEC (strange because I have never met her in the flesh but have spoken to her on the phone) on Sunday.
Strumps - remember to put that alarm clock on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to switch it off:D
Nice beauty products - well I would recommend Clarins, a bit pricey but hey ho a little goes along way. It is lovely plant based and smells divine. I did go a bit mad yesterday and ended up spending more than I had intended but I dont feel guilty about it because I deserve a treat now and again. If I love me then maybe someone else will too:cool:
Suppose I should go and do some work but I don't feel like doing any:rolleyes:
Have a fab weekend all:beer:0 -
My weekend has got off to a bad start MSE wise. The washing machine bit the dust last night. DH opened it up to see if he could fix it and found the replacement parts on the internet for £190:eek:
We shopped around a bit on the internet and again this morning and bought a whirlpool one from Tesco direct. We paid approx £250 with free delivery (on Tuesday) and a buy now pay in 6 months time if a Tesco CC was used. I do happen to have one of those.:D Does it count that I used my CC? I am saying it doesn't - I can save up £60 per month for the next 4 months and then pay it off straight away.:j
So far this year we have had to buy a new hoover, two new tyres for my car, work on DH's bike and now the washing machine - I am just hoping that nothing else goes.
Strumpet - hope your weekend is better than mine and hope that you are starting to feel better now. Is OH back from Amsterdam yet?Debt free and Keeping on Track0
