Strumps - you love us gossiping on your thread:D
As for slapping my legs...you perve:rotfl:
Thanks for the warning about the ex, I am a big girl now (certainly 5 stone heavier than when I first went out with him:eek: ), to think that back then I could eat for england and still only weighed 6 stone:rolleyes: Being a woman of the world, I can figure what he is up to only now I can play the game better than him:j
I am hoping that OH will take me out to dinner, he gave me an addtional present last night, a bar of chocolate and raspberry turron..mmm. He has gone out on a visit today and as he is staying at mine he will be getting £27.50 in expenses so he is here for 3 nights so that's £82.50 coming my way. He even forked out £17.50 for 5 visitor permits so that I can park in Lambeth (well, it saves me paying).
Had some good news this morning, my specs are ready so I shall collect them this afternoon. I haven't been able to drive for the last 3 weeks because I needed these new specs and I am itching to get back behind the wheel again.
Strumps, the weather is warming up and the crocuses are coming out, spring is on its way:j Good luck with your weights bench, hope you don't do yourself a mischief.

Hi Mrs P.
I agree with what you say - no spending on sh*te!!!
OH and I went out for a meal last night for Valentine's Day and his birthday and we spent £51 which was a little more than we were expecting. It was good though and we don't do it that often and it was for a special occasion.
Anyway, remembered this morning that I have some cashback to collect from the TopCashback website. When I went online, it was £49.55!!!! So add this to the £38 cashback from the Halifax and I'm not doing so badly on the extra income front this month having earned £87.55 without even trying!!!.....
........which probably means the boiler is going to explode imminently and require a repair costing £87.55 exactly!!!!

It wasn't the boiler with me its two new tyres for my car £180:eek:
I'll have to use the council tax money (as I don't pay it next month) - I was going to use it to overpay the CCs.:mad:Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Just had an email telling me my cashback payment has been processed so £49.55 is winging its way towards my bank account as we speak.
And a jolly good job too as I'm up against the OD limit!
Still, get paid tomorrow!NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Good news Strumpet.
Had a lovely surprise yesterday - postman bought us a tax refund cheque from the taxman:j £604 - that will pay for my tyes and DH's bike repairs. Hopefully there will be something left over and that can go on overpaying the CCs.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Well done both on getting some free money. I had a poxy letter from Monarch about my suitcase and they enclosed a cheque for £47 leaving me out of pocket:mad: Needless to say another letter is being sent to them.
Valentine's wasnt too bad OH bought me a bunch of red roses:eek: trouble is, he left the thorns on so when he handed them to me I got stabbed with the bloomin' things. Mind you, a sharp knife got rid of the thorns and they look fab, I changed the water yesterday and put some more food in there (carnation food this time:rolleyes: ). We went out for fish n chips on Saturday night, Sunday night I cooked, Monday night I cooked, Tuesday night we went out to a pub which was fab and then yesterday I cooked a Lidl lasagne with added sliced tomatoes. OH went home today.
As for the ex, we will see what game he wants to play only this time he will play by my rules. I am no longer the meek and mild thing he gave the heave ho to, I am stronger and harder (blame life for that).
OH had some £2 coins the other day but he wouldnt let me have them:mad: so I am hoping that he has snuck them into my £2 jar although I doubt that he has. I am going to put them into my business bank account.
Hope all is well with you Strumps (and MrsP)?0 -
