  • Hi Strumpet,

Well done on the weight loss, that is great news.

I need to get back on track, but it does not help when I am on shifts at the moment and cannot go to badminton.

    Oh well nevermind.

I was too exhausted to post yesterday - too much walking and lugging heavy bags of stuff around a trade show didnt help. I forgot to make sandwiches thinking that I could get something there but I was miles away from anywhere decent and I certainly wasnt going to take my car anywhere as I would have had to pay for parking again:mad:

I am feeling a little thinner - I had 4 long walks yesterday from the hall to the carpark, then I lost my car..and couldnt remember where I had left it (this was on the first trip back to the car after walking to Hall 8 from N4), I then had an inkling that I had parked on N4 and knew that I had parked next to a lamppost - sure enough I had parked my car right next to the post with this massive N4 on the top. I dumped a bag load of stuff in the boot - split it into two cotton bags that I had been given and then set off again. Lunch ended up being a slurp or two of Fruit Shoot, a packet of plain crisps and a crunchie, assorted sweeties and chocolates. I was offered a glass of pink champagne but I declined because I was driving and they didnt have anything non-alcoholic:rolleyes: I am such a boring fart - not one drop of alcohol will pass my lips when I am driving:D

Met some great people, made some great contacts and had a laugh at the same time - I recognised one chap from off the telly, he appeared on Britain's Got Talent with a chum and did this naked act with handbags..Simon Cowell didnt like them but Amanda Holden did. I said to this chap that he had a lovely handbag:rotfl: I came home with some freebies too: a memory stick, a few pens, a stick of rock, a pad, 2 beer mats, a packet of shortbread biscuits and two packets of seeds.

I have had a busy day today and still not done the work I am supposed to do - I need to submit some copy to a magazine before Friday and I need to type up some price lists for this wedding fair on Sunday.

    Tomorrow is Dentist Day:eek:

Absolutely - why do you think I picked it???:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Only joking!

Anyway, I've had one of those weeks where I've been so busy, my feet have not touched the ground. Friends from Oz staying for three days so the house is in turmoil - I am sleeping on an inflatable bed in the dining room, washing everywhere! What a tip. Going to need all the weekend to get it straight again.

Put 1½lb on at SW yesterday - the indulgences of having visitors. Never mind - it's a new month tomorrow so onwards and upwards. Aim to be at 13st 5lb by 31/10/2009

Horace - your life sounds even busier than mine at the moment - Heaven help you!

    Love Strumps

    Hi Strumpet,

Don't worry about the weight gain - its very difficult to lose weight when you have visitors.

My weight hasn't changed - so I suppose the plus side is at least it hasn't gone up!

Hope you manage to get your house sorted over the weekend. I've got to do a bit of cleaning this weekend too as we have visitors coming in a couple of weeks - I need to do a thorough spring clean and also try and get into the garden!

    Have a good weekend.

    Hi Strumps

Sorry I havent been around..life has been busy. Last weekend I had the wedding fair which was basically a crock of !!!!! to put it mildy - some stupid girl got married and everyone could wander in and out of the reception room and poke their fingers in the cake..generally it was a poor show and most of the visitors were chavs...I don't do chavs:rolleyes: I had a day off on Tuesday and went to the spa and asked them about my underarm area - seems that the woman at the other place actually burnt my armpits with the hot wax which is why I have been scratching like a baboon ever since:mad:

This coming week I shall be terribly busy - Stroud on Monday, Tuesday Redditch & Stoke Prior, Wednesday Worcester Warriors and seeing my accountant, Thursday Stroud again (Snow Business this time as I want to become an approved supplier), Friday supposed to be going to a breakfast meeting but as I cannot afford the fee to join this networking group I won't bother and I am also due to go to Grand Designs Live as I have a free ticket. Saturday..sorting clothes out and packing, Sunday evening off to the airport, Monday morning 6.30am be on a plane to Alicante and coming back on the Saturday afternoon.

I have also arranged to see a personal trainer (I met him on Friday at this BNI breakfast that I had been invited to), he helps with posture and has some exercises for folks like me with bad backs..he charges £20 an hour but as I won't need to see him every day and only once a week or less then it is cheaper than going to the gym and I get the personal attention that I seek.

Hope you have had a terrific time with your aussie visitors and that your lodger has either moved on or has dealt with his problem wife.

Shouldn't worry about the weight gain - it isnt as though you have put on a stone:rolleyes:

Strumpet - Middle English and an archaic word for prostitute but it sure sounds better than Floozie:rotfl:
