    Hi all,

I had a day off yesterday which was great, and I coupled it up with the BT man coming to fix my telephone line. And boy did it need fixing. The whole thing had to be rewired from the point where it enters the house, all the way round the sitting room to the socket on the skirting board by the hall doorway. It took 90 minutes to do, but now it is fixed, I can use my phone, internet is up and running and the SKY box has stopped whining that it couldn't update.

    Result!!!

Went to SW last night and I have maintained this week so still at 1st ½lb lost with 7lb to go. Got the contracts through for the consultant role yesterday so busy perusing these. Need to find £1,000 by 17th November!!! Then the work really will begin!!!

Hope you are all OK. I should be able to post more regularly now I can access the internet from home.

How many months has it taken you to get that flippin' BT line fixed:confused::rolleyes:

I have been busy lately having breakfast..today I had a breakfast meeting in a casino of all places. I had a full english (baked beans, 2 slices bacon, half a tomato, sausage, fried egg - followed by toast and I drank water and fruit juice). I had a long walk from Smallbrook Queensway to Broad Street where I hopped on a bus but got off after a stop and walked to the casino - walked back New Street after a meeting with the casino manager. Met some fab people - booked a networking christmas party cost £22.50 but I get 3 course meal with coffee and mincepies followed by training on their training tables (no money to pay no money to win). I couldnt believe that the place is open 24hrs a day 7 days a week:eek: Have 2 breakfast meetings next week too - one in south cerney (cirencester) and I am meeting someone for coffee in the hotel on the 4 november.

Did a mad thing today - I offered to be a publicist for a rock band:eek::eek: - blame the migraine due to stinky people on the bus (dried salt cod stinks to high heaven). My business is about to take off - I can feel it:j

Well done on keeping the weight off too.:j

The publicist thing looks as though it is really going to happen - I am trying to arrange a meeting with the band as we speak and I am really excited about it and I will be incredibly deflated and disappointed if the job doesnt come off. I know that I will be brilliant - I was a fab PA anyway (if I say so myself:rotfl:) and I have a way with people to make them do what I want:D

How are things with you Dragon?

Well done Horace - you deserve to make a success of your business cos you work hard enough in it!

Sorry to hear you're not firing on all cylinders Dragon. Being ill really sucks. Believe me I know. Hope you're feeling better soon. Big hugs!

I have a weekend of singing in front of me this weekend - a friend's wedding, a concert and a paid Sunday Service sing so hope I don't get a cold this afternoon! I have to go to Christies for my cancer check up later on but all should be well as it usually is. Hope I get the dishy doctor when I do the cough and drop!!!

    STRUMPET!!!!!!!!

Now my internet is up and running there's no stopping me getting on the net and posting so watch this space!

    Love Strumps

Ps Horace - I've nearly worn out that thermos cup you gave me! I use it everyday!

Hi Guys - sorry I haven't been around much lately - I'm dealing with visitors.:eek: As a consequence I'm right out of my routine and I've been eating out loads.:eek: I haven't even been near the scales.

Today I have bought the Wii Fit plus and when all visitors leave (early Sunday morning) I will start my routine. I had to take DS to the doctor today (its too long to go into but Strumps it was a case of cough and drop:D). All is well though thank goodness. While we were waiting for the doctor I asked DS to pass me a mag to read and he passed over the Weight Watchers one:eek:

Horace - good news on the business side of things - keep us posted.

Strumpet - good luck with your appointment and have a good weekend singing.

Dragon sorry to hear that you are still suffering healthwise.

MrsP - stick to salad, veg and grilled food (no curries or cake). If the food isnt there for you to eat then you won't eat it.

Strumps - I am glad you are using the thermos mug - you can have the other one too if you like as I havent used it. Good luck with the cough and drop too - let's hope that you get a female doctor who is the no nonsense type:rotfl: Good luck for the singing too - keep away from colds and go and sweat in a sauna if you have to.

I have a busy week this week with meetings (am staying in Cirencester overnight on Wednesday) and I shall be meeting up with the leader of the band (plus his girlfriend:rolleyes:). I have also been given loads of contacts including a recording studio used by Led Zeppelin in the past:cool: Things are on the up:cool: I haven't felt so energised or invigorated about anything for a long time - even the self doubts have slipped away after a mentoring session today - now I know what to charge and what commission to ask for (for all my work not just the band stuff), apparently I am on track:j

Have a fab weekend all (I am off out in a while for a treat - a cone portion of chips from the chipshop with a cheese & onion fry.

All was well with the check up and the doctor was not dishy at all. But the guy who did my X-ray - Whoop -ti -doo!

Anyway, spent all yesterday sorting out my house to make room for the heap of SW stuff I am going to receive. Found some old bank statments from 1992 - they will go on the bonfire!
