What a terrible time everyone's having - like you all I can't wait to see the back of 2009 either - am sure 2010 is the year for me!
I've got myself addicted to facebook! Strumps and Horace are you on it?
Strumps fantastic news on the job and weight loss front.
I am hoping to join WW tomorrow (SW is too far away). I prefer counting the points as well. Diet has gone totally to pot and weight has shot up. I know it sounds a bit daft joining before Christmas but I am determined to make a start. I too will make more of an effort in the New Year to post more as I am determined to reduce my debt significantly too.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hello Strumpet,
That is great news on the weight loss, well done.
And good luck with the new job.

Thanks guys and Merry Christmas to you all!
I have been working hard on setting up my SW group - my editorial goes into the Telegraph on Wednesday 30th so I'll be up in lights.
Mrs Porridge - I am on facebook - search me out chuck!
Hope everyone is well and fighting fit. I am enjoying a few days off from doing anything (not that I could do anything with 5 inches of snow out the back door! Got to do Christmas shopping today though or I shall look foolish on Friday!

Hi Strumpet,
I know what u mean about the snow, I had about 5 inches on friday and saturday and it is still here, but slowly melting. I was hoping to drive home yesterday, but still had a few last minute things to do and the roads and weather were terrible, so hoping to set off later on today.
Have a great christmas

Happy New Year everyone,
I held my Slimming World group for the first time last week and got 7 new members which was brilliant. I'm hoping for many more this evening though as the snow is less severe now and people can actually get to the meeting!!
How is everyone? I'm quite upbeat at the moment but still a little anxious about not having a regular income, but things are on the up so to speak.
Hope you're all well and enjoying the challenges of 2010
Speak soon

Happy New Year Strumps.
Have you thought about checking to see if you can get working tax credits? Its not much each week but it is something.
Set yourself up to do more book-keeping work too as that will help keep the wolf from the door.
Things have been a little tough here - was without power from Saturday afternoon until 2am Monday morning so ended up with mild hyperthermia as it was just sooo cold and I couldnt eat or drink properly - I managed to get the electricity networks people to let me have a hot drink and meal (subway hot sandwiches are horrid) and I dare not drink anything else as all the drinks were cold so I was a bit dehydrated too. I am having a week of sloth as I can't be bothered to do anything except try and get warm. Its still snowing here and I am sick of the sight of it.
Well done on your group too - can't be easy in the bad weather getting folks there.
2010 is going to be your year and my year - I just know it.0 -
Hi Horace and strumps,
Happy new year, hope you both had a good new year.
Mine wasnt great, I got dumped by text on new years day by my gf, so it is not just all men who are rotten to the core. lol
Anyway, just getting on with stuff and trying to keep fit. lost 4lbs last week. I have been going to the gym in work and badminton.
Strumps - Glad to the slimming world stuff is going well. Well done on recruiting 7 new memebers.
Horace - Sorry to hear about your power cut, hope you are ok now. I remember last christmas, my heating broke, that was cold I tell you.
Well take care folks

Hi gang
Sorry to hear about your gf Fritter - dumping by text isnt nice especially as she had that nice trip to London paid for by you:rolleyes:
I have just about thawed out - it was too cold for words. New Year and Christmas was pretty pants to be honest as I was ill at Crimble and couldnt go out and I was in bed before midnight at NY - although I did get some presents in the form of a spy pen and a portable dvd player as my original one broke after 2 years:rolleyes:
Am trying to stay busy - have ditched the band seeing as they cannot be bothered to contact me and reply to my emails and phone messages so I am on the look out for another more commercial band to represent (I may as well use my Music Manager's Membership). Need to pay my water bill - I owe the grand total of £2.36:cool:
Hope all is well with you and Strumps and MrsP.0 -
Horace - I'm intrigued by the "spy pen"???
Not feeling too good today as still having dental work and had a tooth taken out last night. Didn't have a good night's sleep as despite painkillers the pain was awful and my imagination was running riot.
Going to take it easy today.
Looking on the bright side - its too painful to eat so I'm having soup and therefore, hopefully, losing weight.
