Strumps...you should have come with me to the quack today..I had a gorgeous male med student (and a female one only she wasnt so dishy) and a male doctor who is also quite a dish:D I now have tablets to take 3x a day for dizzy spells that is preventing them and not getting them..as I have had far too many lately:mad:
I need to have a clear out - I have made a start but I need to move furniture and take one of the rugs up and chuck it in the bin..I bought a lovely new rug today and forked out nearly a week's wages:eek: Guess I will have to live on baked beans on toast for a week to make up for it.0 -
Strumpet - glad that the check up went well for you.
When do you "consult" your first class? Do they give you an outline of what to say each week or is it up to you?
Horace - well done on making a start on the clear out. My aim this week is to tidy up and file all the paperwork. DS is moving into the bedroom where we have the computer and officy type things as it is bigger than his present one and then the desk, computers etc will go into there - so it means a massive clear out of all the junk in the spare room (Office is too grand a word - its has become a dumping ground), but also a sort out of DS's stuff. To be honest it will look fab when its done but I'm dreading the process.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
I have some news...today I was made Marketing Assistant for my local 4Networking breakfast group. Its a voluntary post but I will be able to raise the profile of my business.
Had a meeting with one of the band members today with a view to representing them..will be meeting the others next week..I can see that it is going to be an uphill struggle although I will do my best - I don't see any money in it at the mo because they seem to perform for free:eek:
Am off out tomorrow -staying in a posh hotel..so will have some chillout time.0 -
Horace- congratulations, brilliant news - all your hard work has paid off in spades! I am sure the money will start to trickle in soon. At least you will be "out there", getting noticed!
Enjoy that posh hotel.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Well done Horace - hope it all comes good for you! I'm sure it will!
Mrs P: I think I can decide what to talk about. I think my firt class will be just before Christmas so I can find my feet before the January rush. I have provisionally planned the following:
Week 1: introduce myself, talk about my weight loss journey and explain why I want to be a consultant.
Week 2: Talk about the importance of the group - why it exists, the fact that it "belongs" to the members and that I just run it, and the power it has to change lives.
Week 3 / 4 / 5: Go thorugh each section of Food Optimising to reacquaint members with it, explaining how it all works and the results it can achieve.
That should keep me going for a bit. I need to recruit volunteers to deliver 3000 leaflets between Christmas and new year. Any vollies?

Brilliant news on the pound Strumpet and I wish I could help with leafletting - but
a) I am too far away and
b) I am laid up
But if you can send some weight loss vibes this way I would appreciate itDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I could deliver leaflets but I would have to come and sleep on the couch:D
I enjoyed the posh hotel but not the posh food..I stuck with things that I could identify..I did fancy lamb shank but it came without mash and on puy lentils whatever they are and I wasnt about to pay £15.50 to find out either:eek: Its a disgusing amount to pay for a lamb shank when I can buy 2 x NZ lambshanks for £4.50 in my local butcher. Still, i made full use of their facilities and now have some new bathroom toiletries, a new pen, a pad, a box of tissues (well, I've paid for them!). I thought they were a bit miserly though only providing one packet of biscuits which I had to eke out overnight:rolleyes:
Met some nice people too - one guy travelled from Swindon to meet me for coffee yesterday afternoon and today I met more 2 x photographers and a caterer. I have also offered help (free help) for a big event next June which is to raise money for Help for Heroes..no profit will be made..all suppliers are expected to donate their time for free...it will be great if I can help out.
Came home the scenic route along the Fosse Way which is a jolly nice road and it was lovely as the sun was out and the trees were all shades of gold and orange.0 -
What a picture you paint Horace - I could almost imagine myself there!
Sending weight loss vibes to you Dragon - watch out - here they come and they are MEAN!!!
I put on 2lb this week but this is not surprising as it has ben a bit stressful around here lately. Still, I begin my training for SW next week so I'm looking forward to that although not looking forward to parting with my franchise fee!!!
Having a night in this evening, just me, myslef and I and I have to say that I am relishing the time alone. I shall cook a very nice turkey casserole and settle down with a nice book and perhaps treat myself to a gin and tonic!
I am wishing to get to the end of 2009 (quite an unhappy year for me) and start afresh with 2010. 2010 is going to be a year where I achieve what I want to without other nasty, manipulative people who take all my energy and hold me back, getting in the way and spoiling my dreams. All men are rotten to the core and I shall not be swayed by their charms or good looks. I am better on my own!
Here endeth the lesson!

Not all men..Strumps..you're a nice man, charming, friendly and witty:D
I was watching tv on Monday night - my favourite litle programme on BBC2 called An Island Parish which is all about the Isles of Scilly..it is now going to be a bellringers dream because they have installed bells for the first time ever in St Mary's Church on Scilly itself:cool: See, that's another set you haven't played:D
Am back at swanky hotel tomorrow - just visiting though. Am off out tonight..its cold and wet and I have to go on the bus as I cannot see in the dark.and I have to venture into Birmingham City Centre:eek: I need to be there for 6.30pm as I am meeting the other band members and we are going to talk fees. I would like 15% of every gig and every record deal I get for them and I would like it gross not net (anyway I am not sure how to work out the net:eek::o).
I have a chicken carcass to cook too..I must do that but will probably do it tomorrow afternoon when I get back from Cirencester.0
