Afternoon all,
Kaat - ((((((Hugs to you)))))
Got home this afternoon to a letter from TV Licensing, saying they will take me to court for non payment...despite me having bought my licence some time ago. I think they are getting me confused with the previous tenant...God help them if they even try and send me a summons.
I also had my Council Tax bill - only took them 4 months to sort it out, after intially sending the bill to my landlords dead mother (even though I filled out the form with my name and everything)). Now they expect me to pay them almost £200 by the 1st Sept - I don't think so. Oh, hang on, it's NOT sorted out because they haven't applied single persons discount to it  Flipping winkers, is all I can say. I have to fill in the forms for HB and CTB.
Got my tesco delivery coming between 6 and 8, must clean the fridge before it arrives. Other than that, tonight will be chilling.
Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hello :hello:
Have just snuck on while DF watches the footie.....he won't miss me for a while
Got up early this morning & went for a walk with a purpose to that lovely village with a windmill (& quite a few nice hostelries
) down the coast from us......had picnic lunch on a bench by the green looking at Southport, couple of beers & bus home.....
Portugese fish stew for supper (using monkfish, mussel meat & peas from the freezer) then baked figs & mascarpone for pud - yum!
Kaat - Sorry to hear about Archie. He will have appreciated all you did for him over his time with you, especially in the last few weeks.
Mioliere - can I have the recipe for hot buttered plums please?
Pixie - has your DS grown recently? Could he be ready to have his regular meds adjusted? A friend of mine's son (now age 22) has epilepsy along with other problems & when he was still growing she always knew when he needed his doseage adjusted as he started fitting again.
Am off for a quick bath, then to cook supper. See you tomorrow :wave:0 -

hi
big hugs to kaat, so sorry to hear about archie xx
phoned hospital and got through to our consultant, whenever we have probs with ds1 we were told just to ring the childrens ward, stops all the waiting etc with nhs 24
He is very concerned about the hypo, said he would have been very lo, but when he fell out of bed and was helped up that would have got his bloods up a bit, it was 3.3 when he was checked so guess it must have been quite lo, he was at clinic last week, as he had a growth spurt his hba1c was up to 10.2 was is quite high, should be between 7-8 ideally, so he upped his daytime insulin by a half unit, the dr doesnt want to change his routine as we dont know what caused this bad hypo, if he has another one then we have to contact him straight away.
Just said to give him an extra snack at night and keep a close eye on him.
I am shattered today, went back to bed in afternoon, but still not feeling so good, last night must be catching up on me.

Good evening chums ,well I had a wonderful holiday with my tribe, and the washing machine is on with the first wash.
We did lots of 'crabbing ' on the beach and last night we went swimming at the pool in Sherringham and it was the first time in over a year that I went into the water .I couldn't believe how out of condition I was .I used to do 20 lengths in 20 minutes ,last night I managed two widths, and those I had to stop half way through to get my breath back, but all my little grandchildren were cheering me on so I felt as though I had won a 'gold' myself. They wern't bothered that Granny looked a bit lop-sided at all
We went to see the seals whilst up there and just as we arrived on Blakeney Point the heavens opened and we all got drenched .It was so bad that we fell about in fits of laughter at how wet we had all got .
Arrived home at about 5.00 p.m. this evening and amongst my post was a letter from my surgeon who has sorted out the date for my op. to have the surplus tissue removed from under my arm after my mastectomy. I will be glad when its done as I feel as though I have a rolled up newspaper permanantely stuck under my right arm
So its back to the hospital on 9th October but its only a minor op. so I'm not bothered,my eldest DD is though, and keeps saying how she would rather I didn't have it done ,but I know I will feel more comfortable once its sorted .
I hope you all have had a good week, I know I have spent quite a bit, but it was lovely to be able to enjoy life again.
I start my new Uni course on the 29th September, and I'm really looking forward to it.
So it's back to normality again until next year, I will go food shoping tomorrow as I have enough indoors for tonight's dinner in the freezer.
I hope the weather keeps well tomorrow as I have a line or two of washing to get sorted.
<<Hugs to those who need one >>and a big smiley face to the rest of you.

Hi all
Princess Pixiedust - I hope DS is okay after his scare - much scarier for you I know.. DD2 was born at 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1lb 3oz, she is okay, but the feeling of worry never actually goes away. (She is 11 now and is fine, but convulsions (sp?) at three and a bit scared me too.)
Mind you - I worry about Ds (23) and DD1 (22 today) just as much.. It's a Mom thing
My DSis is ill today (and yesterday) I am so worried about her, it's hard to be *up* She has Lupus and does well normally (Anti -Phospholid Syndrome) but she is personally worried and has made me promise to take the phones with me everywhere
JackieO - I'm glad you have had a spend - you deserve it and I hope the new surgery will make your life more comfortable0
