Hello,
I've been lurking for a long time but have plucked up the courage to jump in at last. Should introduce myself, I'm 21 just finished uni, but moved back home as I cannot afford to get out onto the housing market, taking a year out to get some work experience then hopefully starting a PGCE primary course next year.
*hugs to katt and anniestar and anyone else*
How awful it is to lose a pet and I'm thinking of you both, at least they are happy playing away up there. I'm sure they will be watching over you.
Today mum, me and my little brother went to Costco...there were so many samples out, my little brother was running between them so excited about them all....it seems he's taken after me and mum for freebies!
Then hopefully digging out the doughnut maker this afternoon, to make some of those!Wins for 2022: Hydratem8 Water bottle, diary, flowers, Good food show tickets, childrens books x3,
Thanks to all who post the comps & please let the comping fairy sprinkle dust on my entries!0 -
Welcome jo132000

Hello,
I've been lurking for a long time but have plucked up the courage to jump in at last.
no courage needed jo - we're all lovely - a big welcome to you
kaat - so so sorry for your loss
dd is going to the party and is not wearing the sari - deep joy - home alone and no ironing required. Her bf's mum is fine but shaken. I'm trying to persuade dd and her bf to stay here tonight - i have need of his ceiling painting skills and could do wth a lift to the diy shopI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hello everyone
Kaat...I'm so sorry to hear about Archie. It's horrible to lose a pet, really heart-breaking. I wish I could make things easier for you.
It's chucking down stair rods here, it has been coming down in torrents all day and shows no sign of easing. It's a great day to do housework though. I'll start that in a minute:o
Pixie - well done for coping with what happened with your son. I hope the medics can figure out why it happened and can do something to stop it happening again. You're doing so well, it must be an exceptional strain on you on top of all the other stesses that motherhood brings. Have a big hug and cuddle!
Hello to BigBird and to Jo132000...you're going to love it here. And I do like the sound of those doughnuts...mmmmmm....might have to go and get some later...
Bye for now everyone

Hugs to PP & Pixie's DS.
It's isn't too soggy in Reading at the moment Stef, so hopefully you'll be ok at the festival.
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester

Awwww Kaat, i am so sorry to hear about Archie, I know how much you loved him, and what a devestating blow it must be, at least he is no longer suffering, big hugs to you.
Welcome to the newbies :T .
Stef your dd's bf mum is ok xx
My dd is much better now, although a lot of it is mind over matter she is determined to get to this party tonight, as there is a young man going who she has her eye on
I have been playing scrable on facebook with chrisca, and I love it, keeps my mind active
We had a lovely walk for several hours through the woods, we saw several deer, stopped for a picnic lunch and then back, nice day so far, just waiting for dd and her friend to come home and start their preperations for the party.
Have good evenings all xx0 -
Afternoon all,
Not been near the computer for a whole 24 hours!!!! Having withdrawal symptoms, lol!! However, the cabin clearout has begun in earnest & I am on a roll most definitely. Will be bunging loads of stuff on freecycle later, and also some things I am going to try & ebay. In a few days there will be enough space for me to get back out there & use it as my craft room – and it can double up as sleepover-land for the DD’s. I also sorted out bookshelves on the landing there were overloaded with lots of big hardback books that have been gathering dust for a long time, so got my aunt over earlier (she’s a HUGE book collector) to see what she wanted, and then made carrot & crème fraiche soup at the same time J So I am feeling like an OS angel :A I’m feeling really motivated to keep going now & get the all the junk cleared.
CharliesMum, thank you for the tip about where to put our mse names on facebook – that’s brilliant! I’ve done mine.
W-Sybil, glad you don’t mind – it was a compliment. Never read Pratchett, not my sort of thing…
Mr & Mrs Anniestar, hope the heads aren’t too sore today…. ((((hugs)))) to you both.
Pixie, how scary L hope he’s a bit better today & you get things settled again with DS.
Redruby, that does sound like a migraine. My DD15 had one out of the blue when she was only around 9 or 10 – she does get headaches now, but hasn’t had another migraine really. Must be hereditary as both me & my mum tend to get them too. Different triggers though. I usually find once I’ve been sick (sorry if tmi!) I do start to feel better & can get a couple of hours sleep, but it does leave you feeling quite rough for a while after. Hope she’s feeling a bit better this afternoon. (edit – lol, she definitely sounds better!)
HappyBirthday jannyannie’s dad (and anyone else celebrating).
Welcome back purplegirl, bigbird, jo132000 (and any other newbies who appear later…)
Stefjb, hope DD23 is ok (and DD11), that sounds horrendous, hope the police throw the book at the neighbour. And charging very £20 entrance fee to a wedding?!?!?! (suppose it’s a very mse way of thinking to recoup the costs, lol…) Bit cheeky to say the least….
Kaatlady, just got to your post – I am so sorry for your loss too L I hope Archie went peacefully – and as with Phoebe, he knew he was with someone who loved him & who made his last days as happy as they could be. :A
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((PenPin, Kaatlady, Dogrose, Candygirl, Jayward, Betheebee, Pixie, Mr&MrsAnniestar))))))))))))))))))))) and anyone else who needs/wants one. No-one is forgotten intentionally….
