Hello everyone. Just wanted to post and say “Hi” as I have been lurking for a little while and sometimes feel like I am being very nosy and eavesdropping on someone’s conversation. So just wanted to let you know I’m here IYSWIM

Also wanted to post to say how sorry I was to hear about Archie, KAAT. I wish there was something I could say to ease the pain you must be feeling, but I will have to make do with sending a virtual (((hug)))
anniestar, I also just wanted to add my condolences. I’ve had a real lump in my throat reading your posts. Phoebe’s final resting place and your farewell ceremony sound beautiful, hope you and your DH are doing OK
Thanks to everyone for the various tips I’m picking up on here. OH and I are currently saving for our wedding next year, so every little bit we can save helps!
silvercharming - you’re so organised with your emergency boxes! I’ve never even thought of putting something like that together. A separate radio for the car is such a good idea.
Hope you have a lovely time in Devon, Churchmouse, sorry we couldn't make the weather better! Really miserable here today (and I think I mustn't be very far from you Diva as I am also near Exeter and Torbay.)
Well, better get on and do some housework and some baking. Later I will be going in search of the bottom of the ironing basket. I'm sure it has one, but I haven't seen it for quite a while...
Have a great day everyone

            Hi everyone
Still in Ireland, arriving back at DS's last night. Weather not too good - wet and windy today.
This is the first time I have logged on for more than a fortnight due to being over here so not quite sure what has been going on with you all.
Susie - hope your DS1 is OK - what a scary experience for you all. PenPin sorry you don't seem too good. Kaat - sorry to hear about Archie.
Love and hugs to everyone and hopefully I will be able to keep more up to date once we get home on Monday evening.

            Afternoon all,
Lashing rain here at the moment and someone is supposed to collect 2 single beds I put on Freecycle...they are moving house so will probably come as they are renting a van...if they have it for the weekend they might leave it until to-morrow and chance the weather being better.
Nobody is moving out because of the rain and because there are 10 of us in the house there is no chance to tidy up...the place if full of baby/small child paraphenalia and it is getting to me!
Pixie....sorry that ds1 has been so ill, hope that he recovers fully soon
Hugs to everyone,

            Hello all,
*hugs* to Pixie - I hope that dnephew1 is feeling better now - what a horrible thing to happen. Please tell him his uncle and auntie are asking after him and give him a hug from us - if he's not too grown up a boy for that
 xx
*hugs* to anniestar and KAAT
Well slept in this morning which was fine - was soooo tired! Am a bit stiff after work these last couple of days (moving a lot of stuff around) so am glad its the weekend. I've been to tescos and have done my shopping for the week - got a good deal on sugar actually: they had 500gram bags of sugar (I think whitworths?) listed as miscellaneous sugar and was only 11p per bag, so I got a couple of them for the cupboard.
I've just finished lunch (sandwiches for me, rolls for OH) and am planning a cuppa soon. Think it's going to be curry for tea.
Need to put the WM on (again!) and am doing some de-cluttering this afternoon: thats the plan anyway
*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please...0 -
