Woke up early so browsing on here for an hour or so while DH and DDs snooze.
Had a low carb breakfast and just about to have a coffee.
If the weather looks decent will strip our bed and get bedding in the machine so it can be hung out to dry.
If I can talk DD into going out to look for cushions and a print/poster for her new place then that would get a lot done before we give her and her friend a lift to Newcastle tomorrow with the heavy and awkward stuff.
Gong to go and strip the bed now and then get in the shower to wake myself up.
Hugs to everybody and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Am in front of olympics in PJ's with tea and Leo (who is fine thanks Diva, if not a little traumatised by a helicopter that went over a few minutes ago, and is now sheltering on the shelf under the coffee table:rolleyes: ).
Hugs to all in need, especially Pixie's son and Pen Pin. And a furry-purry hug to Kaat_Lady and Archie.....How is he doing?
And to the cheese sandwich eaters - I should have joined you - was awake having one of my meaningless sleepless nights. Don't know why - just the way I am! Anyway, made up for it this morning.... didn't wake up until 9.15.
No special plans for today - going to pot up some herbs if the rain stops for long enough, and plan a blitz on the kitchen as I managed to boil over some rhubarb yesterday. May also wander into town to overpay my mortgage:T if the rain isn't too persistent.
My ironing basket is ironed, but not put away so that's another job to do.
Anyway, have a nice Saturday everyone. See you later,
PO xx

            Morning all,
Did not get up till 9.30, my dd got me up at 4 this morning saying she felt sick, she promptly was... several times, and she said she had the worst headache ever, I am thinking she may have had a migraine as she is never normally sick, any way went back off to sleep at 6.30 and have just got up, she feels much better but her head still hurts
 .
Pixie, I hope your ds is ok, hugs for him xx
Nice day here, I have a white wash on which I will get out on the line, other than that I will have a general tidy, and then off out for a walk with little dog feel like a long walk today, so will take a picnic and go for several hours.
We are off out to a party tonight, its at OH's work, they have one every year, OH works for my BIL, so a lot of family will be there, dd is taking a friend, and am sure there will be lots of giggling whilst getting ready
We will have a steak sandwich before we go out, there is a bbq there, but I do like to eat before just in case there is not enough.
Have good days all xx0 -
            Morning all
I've been up since 6 but only just managed to squeeze some time on here.
Hubby & BIL have gone to buy some tile batten to make a trellis for the garden fence. We are allowed a max height of 6ft for the fence, but as our garden slopes to the side even I can see over the fence, so we are adding some trellis, no doubt our neighbour will complain but we'll wait & see.
I've just stripped & remade BIL's bed & the bed in the spare/junk room, we're expecting a visitor later who may decide to stay the night & I'd rather not be rushing around at midnight sorting it out.
Someone asked about Wisley, I love it, but then I don't get out much, lol. There is a great gardencenter there and a shop, as well as extensive gardens. The glass house is now open, they only started building it last year, it has 3 zones, tropical hot & wet, dessert hot & dry, can't remember what the other section was called, sorry. There is a waterfall in the glass house & it is surrounded on 3 sides by water. There are also woodland walks, an alpine meadow, lots of ponds some with huge fish in.
We are on the countdown to BIL leaving us now, which will be good for him as he will be nearer his kids.
Back to work for me on Tuesday next week, not sure how many days I'll be doing though.
Jules the cakes looked great.
Hugs Hester

            Hello all !
So far no rain but you can almost feel it in the air...........fetched washing in last night but it didn't rain.........not sure its worth sticking it out again.
Hoping out oldest lad will go out for the day so I can get stuck into making his 18th birthday card (only got till Thursday next week ! ) Knowing my luck I'll never get it right first time and next week seems to be a week full of meeting about one boy or the other !
Heap of paperwork to plough through -oh why can't I stick to doing it on a daily basis ? Make life much easier !
So, till I know movements of older lad I'm catching up on some family history...........left it for a while and think its time I sorted through it a bit.
Have a good day and hugs (((((((:o ))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

            Good morning all
Happy Birthday to Jannyannie's DDad!
Pixie (((hugs))) to you and your DS. That sounds verrrry scary. Glad to hear he is ok now though.
Pen-Pin sorry to hear you are feeling rough at the moment. It's good that your parents have given you details of their will. Does your sister know the contents of the will? It may avoid future arguments.
Churchie have a good holiday.
Anniestar and Mark ((((hugs)))) to you both plus a big :coffee: and a couple of paracetemol each.
((((hugs))))) to anyone else I haven't mentioned who needs one. They are free so help yourself. Plenty to go round.
Woke early so I was in the gym before 8am and home by 9. WM has been on and clothes are now on the line. Washing basket is empty. :j It's supposed to rain later but I'll take a chance.
I'm yet another one who will be getting the ironing board out later. I want to get a head start on the school uniforms so I will iron DD's new shirts and PE kit today and get them put away. Hopefully I will get the rest of DS and DD's uniforms sorted on Tuesday when I am off. This is DS's last year at high school so I'm hoping he won't need a new blazer or PE kit. Seems a waste of money when he won't get the benefit of them next year.
Looked on the BBC food website for some pork belly recipes and found a couple that look very appealing. So will definitely do one of those today.
Pen-Pen My staircase needs hoovering too. Could you send your DS over here when he's finished yours?? Please? Pretty Please? My staircase is like the north face of the Eiger, which is why I hate doing that particular job.
Off to wash the dishes now and then make a start on that ironing. Have a sunny Saturday (we can only live in hope for you, N9eav
). xx "Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

            Morning all!
Annie and Mark :grouphug: Glad Phoebe had a good send-off. I hope you're not too hungover.
Kaat: Love to you and Archie :grouphug:
SillyBoy: Hope you come back today
Princess Pixiedust:  :grouphug: for you and DS have you tried calling NHS direct?
Pen-Pin: :grouphug: hope you feel better soon x
Troo: Hope Ilfracombe was good!
Juliejim: :grouphug: sod's law strikes again, I guess. How horrid for you.
Alexelisey: Thanks, that's a great idea. I'm thinking bottled water and a packet of biscuits now as well.
Redruby: :grouphug: for you and DD hope she feels better soon x
Churchy: Have a great holiday
Big hugs to all who want or need one :grouphug:
Well, the Kitchen Revolution book I won finally turned up today! :j First impression; there are some nice recipes but it doesn't look too MS. But I will have a proper read of it before jumping to conclusions. Hmmm. I was going to clear out the rest of the wardrobes today but I think I might just snuggle up with my book instead
The weather is not great here, either. I do need to stick some more carpet and cardboard around the raised beds but I think I will wait until I don't have to dodge the raindrops.
Have a good day everyone!0
