  • Morning everyone,

I have just had a read through the thread, something I haven't had a chance to do in months. I am trying to get back into my OS ways now that George is 5 months old. OH is resisting as much as possible. I scrimp and scrap and he spend spend spends. I am just hoping that if he sees me making such an effort he will begin to see results and appreciate it a little.

The weather here is dry but cloudy, I have some wash out on the line so will bring that in and pop the nappies out then get another load on. My life appears to have become endless loads of washing! Can anyone tell me if they use white vinegar as fab conditioner? How can I use it?

Another question, sorry! I have made a few batches of bread but they have all been a bit too heavy, what am I doing wrong? Hoping to make some rolls later on but I don't want to waste any. Any advice would be great.

Not sure what the plan for the rest of the day is. Just running a bath for George and I. Then its nap time so I will get on with the washing and do a wee tidy round.

Might go to town and make the best of my boots photo vouchers.

I will check back later on. Have a lovely day everyone!

Morning, had a very lazy morning so far watching the olympics. :D

Miss Twit had a sort through her wardrobe yesterday, so I will go through the don't wear/doesn't fit pile and decide what if anything can be ebayed and the rest will be passed on to my friend in case any of it fits her girls.
I will get some steak out of the freezer for tea, courtesy of my darling dadsie and will pick up some veg whilst i am out and about.
I'm thinking of starting to get some planters etc ready for growing stuff next year, I won't miss a couple of pounds or so each week.

Fine here at the moment, although I'm risking hanging out the washing. The wet stuff that I brought home from work last night has been put over the maiden in the kitchen. Our kitchen is huuuuuuge (and full of crap).

Pen-Pin, I hope your mum and dad have carefully worded how they leave anything to your sister, especially as she has new [STRIKE]hanger-on [/STRIKE]boyfriend in tow. I know that you hate to feel as though you are taking from her, but if a little extra to pay for a few hours care would give you a better family life, then I'm sure your mum would be only too pleased to help. (((hugs)))

Big hugs to those in need esp, Archie-Kaat.

Love to all The Twit :grouphug:

    morning all

oh Suzy - how scary - give him lots of hugs from his mse aunties

N9aev - please keep your rain down there - I'm at Reading Festie from thursday and hate it when it's wet. Hester if you're going past Richfield Avenue check to see that there aren't any pumping machine thingies down there
PP - i think it's very sensible to sort out these things before they're needed - my dbro is my next of kin for these things and is in posession of some instructions for what to do if I'm dangerously ill and also for my funeral. The girls have different views to me on these sort of things and I don't want them to have to choose between their hearts and my wishes.

ive done an hour of painting already - how chuffed am I. dfriend just called to see if I wanted to go into town for a coffee but the clean up will take too long - I'm in my very fetching painting pyjamas. I've also been sorting out my bulging bookcases and have got rid of ........ one book

dd(23) came home briefly last night, got a call, went out and hasn't come back. Her bf's mum was punched in the face last night by a neighbour - for heaven's sake she's over 65 and terminally ill! police are involved as it might have been a racist attack. I've never met her even though they've been going out for over 6 years as she has a problem with her dson going out with a non-moslem but seems to be slowly accepting dd. I will get a card today. dd is supposed to be going to an engagement party tonight and I need to know whether she's borrowing my sari. I bought it five years ago for £200 for a wedding. I figured that the girls would get some wear out of it when their friends got married but so far no one has. If she is wearing it then I need to iron it and its 6 yards of heavily embroidered fabric. i don't iron much and especially not for other people but there's no way I'm trusting it to her. she hasn't decided if she's going or not as the couple are charging £20 for entrance and expecting a present!!!!! - can't say I blame her for being miffed. I wish she'd hurry up and decide though as I also need to look up the putting-on instructions - my friend did it for me last time and I know it involved trillions of safety pins.

I spoke to dd(11) last night - she is home sick bless her although she is being kept very busy. I also had some emails from my dsis regarding the reasons why she hasn't been around much - note to self - there are always two sides to every story - and sometimes three

been thinking about some MIA's today - bargainrzl, GB spring to mind but I'm sure there are others

well i've moliered like a good'un this morning and now must go and paint some more
    have good days
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

afternoon everyone :) Hope you are all well.

Hugs for pen-pin and princess pixiedust and LO.
stefjb - Have a great time at Reading! Am missing it this year  but will be annoying all my collegues with rage against the machine :D That's awful about your Dd's bf's mum, that's a sick thing to do. Hope she is okay.

I had cheese sandwiches very last night thanks to a case of the midnight munchies. Not sure I'll ever learn  but there weren't any real jellyfish in the sink this morning when I got up, so I guess it was okay :rotfl:

I'm at work now, mainly because I'm very very bored and need something to do. OH wasn't pleased, but as he can't be bothered to raise himself out of bed before midday I'm not going to waste my morning watching him. :)

have a good day all, cel x
