((((((Hugs)))))) for PenPin and Pixie's DS

    Happy holidays Churchmouse

Never mind Juliejim, something else will come up.

I've got one load of washing in, doesn't look like raining yet so hopefully I'll get at least 2 loads dried outside, got loads to do. Other jobs for today are the weekly shop (didn't manage it last night), pick up a parcel from the PO, various house and garden jobs, plus the exercise that I've been telling myself I need to start doing all week! We'll see how far I get with that little lot!

I'll get breakfast now, more hm yoghurt and fruit. Have a good saturday everyone

hope he's ok pixiedust. what a scary thing for you and him.
    take care pen-pin.

well my week has not been the best, and the stress continues. selfishly had been looking forward to a few days off chilling, but got phone call late last night that aunt who was in hospital, had been transferred to coronary care unit. could hear her talking in the background and she sounded fine though. so todays plans are to visit her and see what's happened.
not sure what the day holds apart from that.

  • Good morning everyone

DH has taken the small ones to Swim Club so I've made some bread dough, weighed out for a cake and made cookie dough :D Other OS jobs for today:
    • tidy the kitchen
    • hoover the stairs (might get DS onto this :p )
    • some paperwork
    • ironing
    • tidy our room
I spent a lot of time in the garden yesterday, and have a lot of vegitation to deal with (the compost heap is overwhelmed  ). I also have some bare soil, so will be taking DD to the nursery later :j

We might go out to see Wall-E later - anyone know if it's any good

Pen Pin - it's good of your mum to share the will-writing with you. I'm an executor on my parents' and the first I knew was when the wills were completed  I'm much of the view that wills, etc, are best talked about when they won't be needed (hopefully) for many years. My family know exactly what I want (including a friend playing both parts of the Bach Violin Concerto ;) )

N9eav - I don't know why you're surprised, statistically August is the second wettest month of the year  and the West of the UK is wetter than the East :p

Belated birthday wishes to Donny-gal :T

Pixie - (((((hugs))))) for you and yours

Troo - enjoy Ilfracombe - greta "old-fashioned" seaside town :T

Juno - those cakes looked fab :T

Have a great day, Penny. x

Hi all - a very late and lazy start Chez Mioliere today.

Pixie - lots of (((hugs))) to your DS - what a dreadful worry for you.

PenPin - I hope you feel a bit better soon

N9EAV - I heard on the radio yesterday that some people were cutting short their holidays in Cornwall because of the dreadful weather. I really hope it picks up very soon, at least before the holiday season ends.

Churchmouse - have a great holiday!

Well, we are having a lazyish day today because DH has been working hard and last weekend was so busy with the wedding and the guests who stayed with us.

HM pizza for dinner tonight and I'm just about to prep the veg for tomorrow's roast. We had hot buttered plums made in the Remoska for pudding last night - turned out really well. Will pick some blackberries from the bottom of the garden later and mix them with the rest of the plums for tonight's pud.

WM is on, BM is on and the radio is on playing Sounds of the Sixties so I'm feeling like a teenager today!

The weather started off lovely this morning but the clouds have now covered the blue and it looks like rain.

Well, I'd better go and get on doing the veg; see you all later. Have a good day, everyone.

    Morning all

It's cloudy and dry here at the mo. Today is my Dear Dad's birthday, so we are going to the local Toby Cavery for lunch. OH will be in bed as he's on nights. Had a lovely Indian meal last night, still feel full this morning.

PIXIE my Mum used to have hypos like that, so scary, hugs to you and your DS.

PENPIN hope you feel better soon.

PENPEN DS and I really enjoyed Wall-E.

HUGS to anyone else who needs one this morning. SMOKEY how are you?

Off for a run in a minute. Will make a start on this pigsty of a house later. Everthing at the allotment is fine, just my sweetcorn has blown over and the weeds are terrible! Hope to spend lots of time down there next week.

    Have a good day all.
