They're down yet again and 2nd time in 18 months. Hopefully this time it won't last as long as previous time, which was nearly a week, with no notification to customers as to what was happening. This time at least they have announced they will be down for a short time, whatever that means..I think it's time I put my cash elsewhere. icon9.gif

Been trying to log onto cahoot all day - 21/03/10. At 9 pm still says it is unavailable. What is wrong - anybody know?
Planned maintenance from 2200hrs Saturday until 0500hrs Monday! There was a warning message on my homepage.

Unfortunately there is no warning about this on the homepage, and the login just gives that standard Unavailable message :(

Maybe it was planned, but surely they should put these system messages on the site where people can access them when it is down, not on the secure area.....

Thanks for note about it being closed til 5 am tomorrow - but Darren is right - it is not much use being on the secure area - should be on the log in page. Need to be up earlier tomrrow to access it!

I agree - the message you get when you try to logon should say when it will be back - not "unavailable for a short time" which is not true and unhelpful.

    It's pathetic isn't it.

The message must have been 'written' by a 'low level manager type' and the system never required it to be agreed by someone with common sense.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

Have they sorted out Faster Payments yet, as they kept promising they would? I dumped them for First Direct (infinitely better in every possible way) because of this. I can have money moved in seconds from there to wherever I want to put it, but cahoot were still taking days to achieve the same - hopeless.

Have they hell, pardon my French!. No chance! They don't even bother most of the time now to reply to contact messages, something they could reliably do a few years ago. So I have to ring them every time a serious problem arises, and it's hugely time-wasting just to get through to someone who knows what they are doing.

Switch to First Direct. The interest cahoot are paying these days isn't worth bothering about, and FD are still the best around for customer service and general efficiency - bar none.

How long have you been with them for? And what makes them superior to other online banks? What is their customer service like?
