You posted while I was writing my bit :rotfl:Do you think there will be as many people this year? seeing as you have to pay on some of the beach.
it's not just the beach they are going to charge people who use boat's to get near as well, plus they have shut most of that end of the seafront plus adjoining roads
and they still haven't made enough money:rotfl: as they have spent so much this year on fencing, security ect as of last friday they had to sell another 140,000 tickets just to cover what they have spent
an average family of 5 visiting it would be £25 tickets ,£10 park and ride,
about £10 bus fare, and thats before you get in and no I'm not going:D
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

Bright and sunny here. Our last day at the Tea Rooms. It has been so busy and we have managed to beat last years targets so our friends will be thrilled.

Its interesting to see life from the other side- some lovely people and some --- well not so nice.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the stressed outs

MIOLIERE - hope you are not feeling to flat after all the excitement. Can't believe nearly a week has gone by already.

Well I must go and make a meal for the returners for tonight and tidy up all around as I want it to look nice for their return. Then its finish playing housey housey and back to the sunshine bus and up to Scotland. Give us a wave if you see us passing.

OS - we have had so many non spend days cos of wall to wall work!!!

Congrats to all celebrating and special gentle thoughts to all those felling sad or alone
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Morning again,

Anniestar, I was so sorry to read about phoebe. I hope you and dh can take some comfort from her passing peacefully.
Kaat, I hope archie is comfortable today.
Shez and Cat, glad you had a good day yesterday. You all looked great in the pic.
Dazi, good luck with your interview.
Churchie, have a good time in Devon.
Mr & Mrs Stressedoutmumof1, Happy anniversary!

I’ve been up all night. :o Dd is still on holiday but was waiting for her A level results and she asked me to stay up to watch the UCAS website to see if she got the university place she wanted. She told me they would publish it on their website shortly after midnight so I have spent the whole night refreshing the webpage…of course they didn’t publish it until 6.50am! Anyway I don’t mind a bit because she got into her first choice of university. :j Selfishly, I would have preferred her to get her second choice as it was closer to home but as long as she’s happy and settles in well that’s all that matters.

Off to get some sleep now,

    Pink

    Morning everyone

(((Hugs))) to everyone who needs one especially Anniestar and Kaat Lady.

    Happy Aniversary to Stressedoutmumof1

We had a full nights sleep no wet beds for 2 night (sorry LTS) I feel so much more alive this morning.
Plans for a busy day at home today. So far the BM on, WM on with 2nd load and Chick peas simmering for tea. I also need to do some baking and a vast amount of tidying.

Hopefully if dd will leave me be for awhile I'm going to rearrange my larder cupboard. I havent been completely happy with it since I put everything back in after the kitchen refit.

Right off for a read before I get going

    Have a good day everyone

    PS: Congratulations to Miss Pink-Winged

Morning all, quiet day of writing and extreme dullness ahead *sigh* I think the thing that irks me about my thesis is that noone will even bother reading it when I'm done :) :rotfl:

It's really bright here this morning, which is nice so I'm hoping it will last. I'm going to go for a walk in a bit to clear my head. OH is very stressed at work and that coupled with ex-wife being complicated neccessitated a very long chat last night; as he'd been trying not to talk to me because he was worried about me being too stressed with my thesis to cope with his stuff as well. He underestimates the strength of women sometimes :o So we had the woman handling chat, the collegue handling chat and the don't-try-to-do-to-much-chat. :) I think he needs to realise that he doesn't need to do things quickly, as some of it will wait and honestly isn't important.

He's off to the States for a conference at the beginning of september, which I think is the major source of the stress - he's been so snowed under with everybody else's work he's not had time to do his own things. Now he has to tell 400 people what he's been doing for the year and he's worried he's not done enough.

My mum is stressed too as A-level results are due and she hates being at school on collection day.

Right - must go and talk a walk :) then get down to work. Dr Jeckyll is milling about looking scary - so I'd better look busy :) have a good day all, cel x

    Hello everybody,

Been pretty busy today. DH home today & started making a chook run. We've decided to get 2. Good for the veggie garden. Haven't had chooks for a few years and swore I wouldn't bother with them again, but a woman can change her mind. :D DGS up early & after lunch he painted practically the whole afternoon. He's been a bit cranky since tea time so I'm hoping he'll sleep shortly. He & Poppa are watching Ice Age atm on my bed. Although Poppa is surfing on the net.

Going to the mainland on Saturday to get a refund on our lounge as it's been a no-show after 2 months. Hopefully I"ll see something in another store I like for the same price. Will get the table & chairs though. Here is the cape I made DGS. Superman & Batman. They are reversable. He loves it.

    Somo1 Happy Anniversary.
Pink Great news about DD university choice. I'm sure she'll be thrilled.
Shez & Cat Lovely pic. It's great to meet up isn't it.
Dazi Good luck with the interview.
CM Have fun. Hope it's less soggy. :D

Did anyone see the womans relay swimming race. :D All Qld girls of course. Watched the pool this arv, we did well. Have a great day. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

CONGRATULATIONS MISS PINK :T  :A :D :money:  :rotfl:

i'M SO PLEASED FOR YOU. XXXXXXXXXXXX (lucky for you you inherited Auntie Haribo's looks and brains and just got your feet from your mother)

Try to get some sleep Pink
Lovely capes Aussie. Can you do a domestic Goddess one for me please?
    Happy Anniversary SOMO1
So sorry about Pheobe Annie. You will struggle but it does get easier. xxx
Hope Archie is comfortable this morning Kaat Lady.
Have fun Churchie. Hope the traffic is ok as it can be soooooooo frustrating. ;):p:D
Lovely London pics Cat and Shez.
Wannabe sybil you do make me smile with your talk of little bear. My girls are more familiar with the term little S h*t. :o;):D

More 7 year old friends visiting today so the groundhog day of tidying bedrooms has begun. It's a lovely day so I may take them to the beach if I can tear myself away from the garden. The veg don't need much attention now so I'm sorting out the raised borders.
Bread dough is made and rising for lunch and tea will be salmon fillets with watercress sauce as it's taking over the garden. Washing is on the line and all is right with the world.

    Take care all

    Haribo x
